| RUDULF SCHIESTL (1878-1931): Painter,commercial artist,and industrial designer in Nuemberg.From 1899 he and his brother worked in the glass painting workshop in Innsbruck. Became a professor of College of Arts and Craft Nuemberg. Married Margarete Bentlage in 1916. He was named Artistic Director/Conductor of Liller War Newspaper between 1917 to 1918.Listed in many artists encyclopedias :Thieme Becker,Vollmer,and Dressler. Good auction track records. |
