It's a
"must buy" of Carreras' albums if you are new to him. Sometimes
I think "the best" is kind of commercial but this album is
really delicate. It's also a good guide of Carreras albums cause
it's hard for me to imagine how many albums he's taken part in.

I still remember how I was amazed by
the concert on TV when I was a high school student. Watching
Christmas in Vienna on TV had been my annual "must do" for
several years before I graduated from university. It's a pity
that Christmas in Vienna has not been broadcasted on TV in
Taiwan for a while.

I think this concert
was very "American". One thing very interesting is, while I
watched the concert on TV with my family, my mother said that
Brazil would win the championship of World Cup '94 because the 3
tenors sang the song "Brazil". Yes, Brazil won the championship
the next after the concert, and maybe it's the magic of the 3
tenors. |

It is the last album
of The Three Tenors in Concert. Before the concert in 1998, I
had watched the music video of "I'll Never Walk Alone" for this
event for several times. I must say that I was deeply moved from
this mv not only because of the lyric, but also the harmony they
sang in. Even though the 3 tenors will not sing together in
concert for the World Cup any more, their friendship will
accompany themselves as always. |
