"First Grade"
senior  memory book: chapter two: article
I had loved being grown up and finally going to school, but I had two solvable problems with it that developed over time I knew it wasnt as grown up as first grade, that the work wasnt as advanced as first grade; and kindergarten was only a half-day rather than a whole one, so all my close friends were still at school when I got home.

So, when first grade came around, I was excited. Finally, truly grown-up work and schooling!

School started, and I had Mrs. Colgate. First grade was great. Most of the time, the work was exceptionally simple. On my report cards, I would constantly be earning Os for outstanding (98% and up). I do not recall having homework, but my mom claims that I indeed did, so Ill just assume that I never had much.

I made excellent friends with another classmate named Kyle. We would always do everything together in class. I eventually got hold of his phone number, so we were able to hang out away from school, too. Sadly, I lost his number after school ended, and I never saw him again.
