| My parents met each other in 1983 at Showbiz on Colerain Avenue (bought by Chuck E. Cheeses in the late 80s). At first, they had no interest in each other whatsoever. However, things change, and they began dating, soon beginning to believe that they just might love each other. In the early winter of 84, I was conceived. My parents werent yet married, and they didnt know what to do they were scared to death, being only just out of high school and scarcely even 18 and 19. They were going to have me aborted, but a counselor managed to talk them out of it, asking if they could live with themselves. They decided to continue with the pregnancy, and ended up marrying on May 5 of 1985. I was born on a bright, cheerful Sunday evening in August at 7:47 PM after nearly 24 hours of labor. I weighed seven pounds and two ounces, and I was 20 inches long. I had bright blue eyes, and very thin medium blonde hair. My parents were ecstatic. I went home two days later to a one-bedroom apartment in Mt. Airy, Ohio. We lived there until I was 9-months-old, when we moved to another apartment, this one a two-bedroom. Life was difficult at first, and my parents had many times when they were on the verge of leaving each other, but their love for me combined with Gods intervention kept them together, and I was completely oblivious to these problems. We stayed living in this apartment for three years, then my mom became pregnant with my first brother, Jon, and we needed to move yet again. We relocated ourselves to a trailer park in Ross, where we lived at 40 Opal Drive for the next four years. |
