| A man named Giraffe is pursuing a crippled man named Zebra. Zebra, who stays motionless in his wheelchair, accompanies a harmonica playing child prodigy named Wen. Giraffe makes it to a hotel room where the boy and Zebra are, and soon he crashed out a window. Spike and Jet had been pursuing Giraffe, who has a bounty on his head, and Spike finds Giraffe right after his fall. Giraffe gives Spike a stone and tells him that the child is not what he appears to be. Spike goes after Wen and when he finds him, Wen tells Spike a story of how he is older than the colonies and an explosion of one of the hyperspace gates near Earth has prevented his body from aging. Spike shoots Wen, but Wen is able to leave the scene just fine with only a pool of blood behind. Zebra is left and taken aboard the bebop, where the alpha catcher is put on his head to read his brainwaves. They discover that the gem Giraffe gave to Spike is how to kill Wen, so it is formed into a bullet to shoot the kid. When Spike shoots Wen in the head with his gem bullet, Wen quickly ages to death. | |||||||||
