Chapter 6


	As Nikana and Ness arrived at Dr. Andonut's Lab (AKA Jeff's house), they explained to Jeff what had happened to Paula at the doorway. Jeff came up with a plan to sneak out of his room and join his friends outside. In that way, his father wouldn't suspect anything or know about the mission to help Ness save Paula and the universe.
	After Jeff sneaked out with his friends, they immediately teleported to Daalam. Ness explained every detail to Poo and the young prince joined the group. As they left the palace, Nikana stared outside for a brief moment.
	"This might be the last time we'll be here." Nikana stated.  
	"Not unless I can help it." Ness said with confidence. "Nikana, escort us to The Master Hand."
	The teenage girl glanced at the boy and stared at him in the eye. She suddenly laughed hysterically as Poo and Jeff shot questioning eyes at her. Ness suddenly grabbed her by the tunic and pulled her down for him to stare at her directly into her hazel eyes. This had somewhat caught Nikana with surprise.
	"We don't have time for this!" Ness growled. "Paula is in terrible danger and Eagleland is at the sake of being destroyed, and you think that's darned funny?!"
	"No, no, no, no, no!" Nikana said as she tried to calm herself from laughing. "That's not what I'm laughing about. First, you planned to go against a power fighter that you don't know much about, and you don't even know how to use the most powerful ability that I have gave you! You're crazy if you think that you can defeat The Master Hand without masting PK Thunder!"
	Ness crossed his arms as his friends said nothing. He was growing impatient and was easily frustrated.
	"Now I must teach you how to use PK Thunder and it should be quick to master." Said Nikana and smiled a little. "We will save your beloved Paula and the world as long as you use some patience with me, ok?"
	Ness blushed after Nikana said ‘beloved Paula'. He knew that Nikana found out what was going on between him and Paula from that statement. The boy nodded as Nikana had begun to teach him how to use PK Thunder.

	Paula looked around frantically in her purple-glassed cage. She was in a strange room with moving spiral walls and had no clue exactly where she was. The room itself was kind of fascinating, but nondescript. Strangely enough, she could breathe easily while in her cage. The girl tried to communicate telepathically with Ness, but was unable to reach him.
	Just then, a white object appeared and floated in the room in front of Paula. It was a white glove with five fingers and about three times larger than the girl. Paula gasped in fear and crawled farther back in her cage. The glove stayed where it was and made no movement, but the cage that held Paula captive disappeared. Telepathically, the glove said to the girl, *Welcome. It seems as though you know much about the boy who is going up against me and that tramp, Nikana. Your world is at lost and you might as well surrender it to me, along with your friends.*
	"Never!" Paula shouted as her voice echoed. "You have to get past my friends and me to get to it!"
	*Oh really?* The glove mocked. *I've been watching you, your friends and Nikana for the past two of your Earth days. I must admit that Nikana seemed to be training the boy pretty well.*
	"What do you mean by ‘Nikana seemed to be'?! I thought that you were observing us the whole time!"
	*Hmm. Very true my dear, but there were some places that I can't find much info on the boy and what powers that tramp has given him. And that my dear, is when you come into place to help me search for weaknesses in him.*
	"You wish! You're not getting anything from me, freak!"
	The glove laughed hysterically at Paula's words. 
	*Do have any idea who I am?! I am The Master Hand, the ‘Master and Creator of the Universe'! I can control and do whatever I want to your pathetic realm, world, and people. Yes, I can even control that foolish boy Ness, once I've defeated him and use him as my slave forever! In fact, I just found out his weakness within him.*
	"You're lying!" Paula growled. "Ness will kick your butt and destroy you for good!"
	*What? Do you think that I would actually lie? I lie of nothing! From observing you two walk each other home every night, it seems as though the emotion ‘love' has taken place? Yes . . .  the boy must have grown very fond of you as you have for him. I have what he wants desperately and he has what I want. I'll get my powers back from him and use him!*
	"NOOO!" Paula screamed in horror as she stood up from the ground. 
	The glove opened his hand (or body) at Paula. The girl became paralyzed and couldn't move her legs or arms. Paula stared at The Master Hand with horror and fear as the glove laughed evilly, but hysterically.
	*So you say that I cannot get to destroy your people and your useless world without getting past Ness and his friends? How about I start with you first!*
	The room suddenly grew dim. Paula looked around her surrounds frantically with pure fear. The Master Hand's laugh echoed in the terrified girl's mind. Suddenly, Paula felt a cold wave passing through her mind and body. She felt her memories she had with Ness, Jeff, Poo, her parents and with the children she tended at Polestar Preschool fading and false images being added as replacements. The girl saw the false images about her friends, parents and the preschoolers harassing her and abusing her. Paula screamed and shirked as her painful cries echoed throughout the room.

	 After many times of practicing with his new power, Ness grew familiar with PK Thunder and had easily master it. After practice, the boy stared at the teenage girl in the eye and demanded to be taken to The Master Hand.
	"I think you are finally ready to battle." Nikana agreed. "Everyone take each other's hand and hold on tight. I shall teleport you guys to The Master Hand."
	Ness, Poo, and Jeff obeyed. Before being teleported, Ness asked, "Nikana, can you do me a favor that should be placed on my will before we leave?"
	"And what would that be, depending if I can make it happen?"
	"If I don't defeat The Master Hand and this planet is going to be destroyed, can you escape with Paula and my friends and lead them somewhere safe?"
	A pause of silence stood within the conversation. Ness stared at Nikana desperately as the girl stared back at him in silence and was expressionless.
	"Can you please do that for me?" Ness asked again, trying to break the silence.
	The girl turned her head away from the boy and answered, "That maybe too risky of a job for me to take care of. Unfortunately, I can't really promise that since it is risky to look after three people as I travel to different worlds. No one has asked such a request like that from me, to be honest with you. What I can do is that I can try that, IF The Mater Hand hasn't thought of a trap that I can't get myself or your friends out of."
	"Thank you." Ness said with gratitude.
	Nikana closed her eyes and held onto Jeff's and Ness' hand. She ordered the three friends to form a circle and hold hands as they did. They closed their eyes and a moment later, an aqua colored beam of light hovered over them. Everyone opened their eyes and found that they were being lift up from the ground.
	"Amazing!" Jeff said with wide fascination.
	"Master Hand, here we come." Ness said and then thought silently, Hang on Paula. I'm coming . . . 
	The four suddenly disappeared from Dalaam, leaving the world in a peaceful state as they had left it.
