Chapter 1- The invatation
It had been exactly one year since Ness and his freinds had defeated Giygas. Ness had settled back into his hometown of Onett. He and his friends got together every weekend and life couldn't get any better. It was now a cold winter season and Ness was in his basement watching his mother fold clothes.
"Here Ness take these upstairs and put them in your room." she handed Ness a whole basket full of his laundry.
"When do we have supper mom I'm starving!" Ness asked.
"Whenever I get all these chores done! So if you help me and take your clothes upstairs and do some other things for me the faster you'll eat!"
"Fine." Ness grabbed the clothes basket from his mother. He was about to head out the door when the mail man passed by the window.
"Oh yes, and Ness while you are up there grab the mail for me."
"Okay mom." With that Ness headed upstairs.

Ness had finished putting his clothes away and put on his coat and boots to go get the mail. He opened the door and trudged through the snow to the mail box. He reached in and pulled out half a dozen letters. He then retreated from the cold back into his house. He looked at the letters. One was from Poo, another was from Jeff, one from Paula, bills, bills, but there was one that struck Ness as odd. The return address said the Jerry Springer Show. And it was addressed to him! The Jerry Springer show wasn't just any talk show... It was the most contraversial in the entire world! He had been invited to many talk shows in the last year but this topped them all! His mother yelled from the basement.
"Ness did you get the mail yet!"
"Yeah mom!" Ness walked downstairs and gave her the two bills and was about to go upstairs and read his mail when she handed him about a hundred dollars. "What's this for?" Ness asked.
"Why don't you go get groceries while I finish all these chores?" Ness's mother asked.
Ness was quite anxious to get to read his mail but he wasn't one to argue with his mother. Or his stomach for that matter. "Fine I'll go." he said that and ran upstairs.
He grabbed the list off the fridge. It was full of things that made his stomach rumble even more then it had previously. "Oh man!" He was too hungry to think about the letters anymore so he jumped into his winter clothes and headed out the door.

It was a long trudge to the drug store and it was snowing heavier then before. His vision was blurred and he was shivering. He coudn't imagine what it would be like on the way home carrying all the groceries. He finaly arrived at the grocery store to find that it was closed due to the blistery weather. Ness was now quite angry. But he saw the Mach Pizza lights were on...

When he got home he told his mother all he had seen. She agreed with him that they should have pizza. He ordered two mediums with extra bacon. He then grabbed his letters and retreated to his room to read them. First he read Poo's. All was well in Dalaam and Poo had now found a girl that he liked. He said she was destined to be his Queen... Ness chuckled. Jeff has started studying with Dr. Andonuts and his having a blast... Literaly... And last but not least Paula is doing the same ol same ol. Waiting for the weekend so all the friends can get together.
Now for the Springer letter. Ness opened it carefully making sure he didn't tear it. 
Hello Ness! You and three other selected teens have been invited to the show to be confronted by a mysterious guest! If you choose to accept you will get free airfare and spending money in the beautiful Summers Resort! 
Ness coudn't believe what he was reading! Free airfare and spending money in Summers! It would be such a relaxing change of pace! Compared to the weather up here... And he could easily guess who was going with him on this little trip...
Just then the phone rang. Ness considered it was just an Exchargo Express order and let Tracey get it upstairs. He layed back on the couch.
"Ness! The phone's for you!" Tracey screamed from upstairs. Ness reluctantly got up and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Ness? It's me, Paula."
Ness enjoyed hearing the soothing sound of her voice. "Hi what's up?" But he could tell she had recieved an invatation also.
"Ness you didn't happen to get an invatation to the Jerry Springer show did you?"
"As a matter of fact I did! Doesn't it sound sweet! A free trip to Summers and money and everything! We can get a tan and..."
"Ness I have a bad feeling about this! I mean something doesn't seem right about it... I mean who would be inviting us..."
"Well it could just be..." Ness couldn't think of anyone either...
"See!" Paula exclaimed.
"Yeah I know but aren't you the least bit curious? I mean there is only one way to find out who it is..."
"We'll talk about it more tommorow when all four of us can discuss it together..."
The door bell rang at the front door. "Must Be the pizza guy..."
"I guess I will let you go." Paula said.
"Okay by..." But she hung up before he could say good-bye. He figured she must be mad at him for not agreeing with her tottaly on the subject.
Oh well he went to the door and grabbed the pizza. But the anxiousness was burning up inside him to see who and why he had been invited to Eagle Lands #1 talk show.
