| Angelic Valerie was one of the first friends Link made on the island of Koholint. Possessing a compassion that he so desperately needed, Valerie told Link about many of the mysteries of Koholint island. She remained a steadfast friend to him, even as the world around them began to change. Valerie was a skilled healer who used herbs, rather than potions as her rival Crazy Tracy. There was no one on Koholint island who wasn't a friend to Valerie, except for Richard who constantly hounded her, threatening to reveal her most guarded secret if she didn't cooperate with him. Despite her frail appearance, Valerie was actually an angel, sent by Farore to protect Link and Zelda as they fought to free themselves of the bonds of Koholint island. She tried to hide this fact for many years, but eventually, people began to discover the truth. |
