| Tarin is Marin's father. Although he somewhat bumbles through life, he has a very kind heart and it was he that helped to heal Link after his shipwreck. In addition, Tarin also gave Link his shield and set him on his course to retrieve his sword and wake the Windfish. Tarin suffered a bit of an addiction to mushrooms which got him into a mess of trouble when he ate an enchanted mushroom and turned into a racoon. Luckily, Link was able to restore him and Tarin didn't even remember it happening. |
