| Matilda is a Human girl living on Koholint. Although she's very much a part of the Mabe Village society, she dreams of the outside world and wishes with her whole heart to leave the island one day and travel to Hyrule, Holodrum, and beyond. Along with her best friend Carry, Matilda collects trinkets from the outside world, including a map given to her by Link. Matilda is ambitious and somewhat bossy. She's very independent and often clashes with the other inhabitants of the island. Despite all of this, time and again, Matilda has prove herself to be a loyal friend and a good person. She fights with a hookshot and has faced monsters as terrible as the Nightmares. Matilda has begun her own independent quest to wake the Windfish, unaware that Link wants to do the same. Her friend Carry has tried to discourage her, but Matilda won't take no for an answer and won't let anyone get in the way of her goals. |
