| Marin is the beautiful island girl who discovered Link when he washed up on the shores of Koholint. Taking pity on him, she and her father Tarin nursed him back to health and first explained to him the circumstances of Koholint island. Since she bore a striking resemblance to Princess Zelda, Link was instantly drawn to her and the two of them eventually fell in love. Marin tried her best to help Link on his quest to wake the Windfish, even though she knew it would probably take him away from her. Her musical talents were constantly haunting Link throughout his quest and it was her song, the "Ballad of the Windfish" that finally saved the day. |
