| Chicken rice balls | Restoran Formosa Chicken Rice Ball at 28-30, Jalan Kasturi off Jonker Street. Rice ball is same size as fish ball. Taste quite normal. |
| Chinese food | Restoran Lee at 155, Jalan Bendahara. Crab seems to be popular dish there. Quite pricey, though.. |
| Nyonya and western food | Bulldog Cafe at 145, Jalan Bendahara. Sell poh-phiop, chendol... Quite a unique small eating place. Worth a try. |
| Red bean agar-agar | Roadside stall along Jonker Street. Fantastic. Must try. |
| Peanut and candies | Tan Kim Hock Product Centre. Very fresh. Many varieties. However, watch out your cholestrol level as most products contain coconut milk |
| Murukut | An Indian shop along Jalan Bendahara. Very fresh. |
| Malay satay, grilled seafood | Along Jalan Merdeka Banda Hilir. Come night, this place is alive with diners. |
