History:
Born in Belfast, Ireland, Sloane moved to Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon with her family when she was six.  From that point on, she has fought religiously to smite out any hint of her Irish origins.  Adopting the British accent at age eight helped Sloane forget her heritage for a time, but she could neither dash away her name nor her blatantly old-Irish looks that stared her in the mirror every morning.  Her father, a Judge for the Irish Magical Crimes court, withdrew Sloane from public school upon their arrival in Britain and hired a private tutor.  Until her admission to Hogwarts, Sloane learned from Professor L. E. Switzard, a haggard old wizard who seemed to have more passion for historic arts than for actually living.  Despite Sloane's growing annoyance at her teacher, she was extremely upset when she learned of his death.  As if to load troubles on an otherwise happy, blossoming girl, Sloane's mother was diagnosed with leukemia in Sloane's second year of school.  Despite the efforts of an esteemed Muggle doctor, Slanie Fawcett died early in Sloane's 6th year at Hogwarts.

Personal:

Pet(s): Icarus, a brown owl with a personality like a dead mouse.
Personality:
Sloane is sarcastic and perfectly deadpan most of the time, but she can also be extremely serious or lighthearted when the mood suits her.  She has quite a realistic outlook on life, and hates it when others pity themselves or complain; she knows that things can be worse, and someday probably will be.  Despite this somewhat cynical outlook on life, Sloane is, flamboyantly, if not haphazardly, brave and what she would consider 'just.'  Unfortunately, Sloane has never been very resillient, and after the death of her mother during her sixth year at the hands of a Muggle doctor, Sloane has been extremely moody and, as others would put it, corrupt.  No one really seemes to know, or at least recognize, her motives, and therefore she can be quite scary to those outside her small inner circle.  Not exactly sure where she stands with the war, even after her mother's death, Sloane is looking for answers in any place she can find them.  All she knows is that soon she'll choose sides, and Lord help her opposition.
Metaphysical Orientation:
Undecided
Likes:
Reason, logic, explainible occurances
Dislikes:
Ireland, Old Ireland [Erin], the fact that she is Irish
Pet Peeves:
Complainers, disrespect for teachers
