Family History: Luisa Caccetta was born into a very prominent family in the heart of Florence, Italy. Her father, one Santo Caccetta, headed one of the largest Mafia families in Italy at the time of her birth. While young, Santo held a charm and a draw that made it impossible for his position to disintegrate, and if anything, during her younger years, the prominence of her family only grew. While Luisa was not involved in the family "business," she was intelligent enough to realize what was being practiced. In an effort to find out what the rest of society was like, Luisa traveled to Britain and attended college, where she met Michael Zabini, a wealthy young medical student involved in drug trafficking, which did not become apparent to her until several months after they'd met. After graduating, the two decided to get married, and traveled to Italy to receive Luisa's father's blessing, which he gladly bestowed. Michael quickly entered the family business and worked hard to manage the outposts that were set up for the Caccetta family throughout the world. In 1980, Blaise Paul Zabini was born to a twenty-two year old Luisa and a twenty-six year old Michael. In 1988, after the family had moved to Oxford, Britain (1987) another child was born; a baby girl named Carina. Despite the move, Michael and Luisa continuously remained in contact with the Caccetta family in Italy while they managed the family's ties in Britain.

Personality: Blaise is quite calm and quiet. He likes to observe rather than act, and usually keeps his opinions to himself unless asked. It's quite hard to make him angry, though he has certain tics that may or may not set him off. Blaise tries not to appear to be too interested in anything, and this approach often works quite well for keeping people off his case. Quiet and thoughtful by nature, Blaise is often hard to arouse, whether to a fight or discussion. "Standoffish" or "anti-social" are words sometimes used to describe him by those not in his house or his inner circle. To those close to him, however, Blaise can be a vibrant life form that is opinionated, though well composed, with a strong and intelligent mind. Blaise considers himself one of the only honest people he knows, and while this may or may not get him into trouble, Blaise seems untroubled by it.
History: Born to Luisa Caccetta and Michael Zabini in 1980, Blaise has always been treated to a well looked after and fine life. Educated and poised, Blaise grew up amongst parties and meetings, which he was required to participate in without complaint. He lived in Florence until age seven, and spoke Italian, English and French fluently when he entered Hogwarts in 1990. High Society, though it may be strange to others, has never been obtrusive to Blaise and his sister, Carina, who he connects with most easily out of his entire family. The bond between brother and sister, though their ages are quite separate, stems from their early tutelage and frequent visits to Italy, as well as long summers spent mostly alone in Caccetta Manor. Besides Carina, Blaise greatly respects his grandfather and his ideals, and even took up the practice of piano at age four to please him.
