Debbie and Bill Vanderveer are very dedicated to improving the mastiff breed and subscribe to and uphold the Mastiff Club of America
MCOA ethics standards for selection and breeding. As most reputable breeders and purebred dog owners, Genesis Mastiffs are proponets of breed rescue. We are active members of the
Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue and adopted 2 mastiffs, litter mates Sunny and her sister Princess, as MCOA disbanded the national rescue and regional mastiff rescues formed.

Here is Princess in her favorite spot in the Dining room and Sunny with her dress up collar in her favorite spot on our bed
In 2003, we decided to get another mastiff that would be a show prospect and met longtime mastiff top breeder Bonnie Faulstich who owns Lyonhurst Mastiffs.
Her champion dog Orson fathered our new show dog Genesis Mystic Rose, or as she is called at home, "Rosie"

Here is Rosie taking points in her home state of Indiana
Our Newest member to our pack is from North Carolina, from Meadowfarms Mastiffs, owned by Tom and Tammy Sholes. In January of 2006, Meadowfarms had a litter from their phenom male Major. Debbie and Tammy co-own a puppy from that litter, our "Million Dollar Baby" or as she is called at home
Millie.
Here Millie is shown by Ms. Jill Day at the Detroit Kennel Club show at just 13 months, Millie is about 145 pounds in this picture
We will update this page with more pictures as our family grows
