The Knights Of Columbus are going to be delivering their
holiday season dinner baskets again this year for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Every year we try to deliver at least 50 dinners to needy families in the area
and unfortunately, we always meet our goal.
It is unfortunate to say, but there are allot of families out there that
are down on their luck and all we try to do is make their holiday season a
little bit nicer. So, if you know of
any family that may need a dinner basket and / or would like to volunteer some
of your time to delivering dinners, please contact one of our officers. Also, if you give a name to the K of C, you
will be kept anonymous.
Halloween Party
Friday, October 28, the Knights of Columbus are hosting their annual
Halloween party for kids of all ages, from 7:00 – 9:30 pm at St. Mary’s church
hall in Constableville. There will be a
hayride prior to the party from 6:00 – 7:00 pm (weather permitting). There will be prizes awarded to the
scariest, best dressed, best Saint and many more. Admission is free for all who come in costume and $2.00 if not. DJ services are provided by RPM. Refreshments will be available. And maybe a surprise or two.
Raffles
Well, the annual 225 raffle is under way again this year and
we appreciate all the support that shown.
Sorry if you did not get a ticket this year, just make sure you let one
of our officers know and you will be asked to buy one next year. But as luck may have it, we do have allot of
C & B tickets available. These are
a book of 14 for only $6.00. And again,
just contact one of the officers for
them.
Degrees, and not temperature.
For all who
is interested, there will be a 4th degree held in Ogdensburg on Saturday,
October 22 if any 3rd degree Knight is interested. Also, if any member knows of anybody who wants to be a Knight,
there will be a 1st and 2nd degree held in Carthage on Sunday, October 30.
