Halloween Party a huge
success
What an exciting evening, from the hay ride to the
party. There were kids of all ages,
dressed up in some of the scariest, and weirdest costumes around.
This years, first annual
book drive for the Lewis County Literacy was a huge success. We would like to take the time out to thank
all of you who donated a book or two.
We collected 16 boxes full of books and that was great. A special thanks to the Port Leyden and
Constableville Libraries, for their generous donations and also to Walsh's
General store, Quick and Easy, Dolhof True Value, Hoage’s Superette, Shues’ General
store, St. Mary’s, St. Martin’s & St. John’s churches for allowing the
Knights of Columbus to use them as a collection point.
Saturday, November 23, the
K of C are going to be delivering Thanksgiving food baskets to families in our
area. If you know of somebody who may
be in need of one and / or if you would like to help with the distribution of
these baskets, you may contact one of the council officers.
Parents, remember Sunday,
December 15 there is going to be a Christmas party at St. Mary’s church in
Constableville from noon until 2:00.
Santa should arrive somewhere around 12:30 to hand out gifts.
The party will be a
covered dish to pass, so let’s get out some of those wonderful Christmas
recipe’s that taste so good. See you
there.
