the Knights of Columbus?
The Knights monthly newsletter to keep informed on
what’s happening in our council #7794.
Fr. Pascal’s retirement
party and more
Come one, come all!
Fr. Pascal’s retirement party at St. Mary’s church hall on Sunday, June
9. The part will start after 10:00 mass
and last until it’s over. And in if you
decide to attend 10:00 mass prior to the party, you’ll be able to enjoy the 4th
Degree knights, in action, honor Fr. Pascal.
If you decide to attend the party, it will be a covered
dish to pass event, so let’s get all of our best recipes out and treat everybody to a feast that we won’t
forget.
Also, on Sunday June 2, there will be a chicken BBQ /
bake sale at St. Mary’s church. Halves
will be $3.50 and dinners will be $6.00.
I know there’s been a lot of BBQ’s out there, not only by us but other
organizations too, but this one here is for Fr. Pascal.
As you know, he has family all over the country and he
sees his one brother, that is in Massachusetts, every so often but he hasn’t
seen his brother in Texas or his brother in Virginia in quite some time. So, the Knights of Columbus and Alter Rosary
Sodality have joined forces to help Fr. Pascal see his other brothers. We hope to see you there.
It has been suggested that we make room in our newsletter
for people in our community who may be ill or have gotten injured and may need
a prayer to help them out in their time of need. When you stop and think about
it, isn’t that what we’re all about, helping others who need it.
It has been asked to keep Betty Ward, Leo Jordan, Dave
Ward and Patrick Denslow in our prayers and thoughts this month. Thank you.
C & B tickets are on
sale again. $6.00 for a book of 12
tickets. Not too bad when you can win
$1,000. If you would like a book or two
or three or more, contact one of our officers and, or Ron Gordon at 376– 3984.
Let’s dance!
You know, things get kind of slow around here in
the summer time with all the field days slowing down and those mid summer
blues, so we want to spice it up a little bit around here.
The South Lewis Knights of Columbus are
holding their first annual Mid Summer Jamboree at the Port Leyden Fire Hall on
Saturday, July 6. We’re going to have
live music from 8:00 — Midnight and the band “COUNTRY IS” is going to play the
tunes that you can dance your shoes off too.
We’re going to have lots of spirits and lots of food and it’s all for
only $10.00 per person or $15.00 per couple.
That’s not allot, especially when you figure the spirits and food are
included.
