What’s New with
the Knights of Columbus?
The Knights monthly newsletter to keep informed on
what’s happening in our council #7794.
Well, here we are in the beginning of the year and
things are already starting to get confusing, I’m talking about our
website. We’ve moved to new place in
time, just type in: www.geocities.com/kofc7794. There’s links to other sites, information on
youth programs and much more.
We would like to thank everybody who helped with
our Christmas dinner deliveries it was a huge success! We delivered over 50 dinners to people in
the area who happened along bad times.
We would also like to send our thanks out to Climax Paper, in
Lowville. They donated several turkeys
for us to pass out during the holiday season.
Remember for all you bowlers out there, the K of C
is going to be holding their annual day at the lanes in Lowville. The day has not been guaranteed yet, but it
will be in the middle of March some time.
So if you’re a pretty good bowler and would like to be on one of our 4
man / woman team, or just want to go out and have a nice family type bowling
night, contact one of our officers.
Hope to see you there.
Like I mentioned before, we’re in a new year and
we’re at it again, C & B tickets, that is.
All you have to do is sell a book or buy it yourself for $6.00.
That is a great deal considering it’s a book of 14 (not 12) and you can
win anywhere from a $1000.00 - $25,000.00 dollars. Contact Ron Gordon @ 376-3984.
The Knights of Columbus would like to thank
everybody who came to the Christmas party.
Santa had a good time handing out presents to all the children, both
young and old. We also held our final
225 drawing and we would like to thank everybody who purchased a ticket and
congratulations to all who won. Final

Membership!
This is always going to be a hot topic.
Our Grand Knight would like us to try and recruit new members and to get
them active in our Council. Not only
would he like to see new members but also he’d like to see some of our present
members get a little bit more active, and some of them have. In the last 2
months, we’ve had 2 past members rejoin and that’s great.
Father Pascal has a few things to pass along to all
of us:
·
He would like us to sit down and remember, “who we
are, what we have and what we do.” We
take to many things for granted now days and we forget the basics in life. Have our children learn their prayers, go to
mass, pray, learn and practice your faith, both young and old. Take the time out some night and open your
Bible to Mathew, chapter 13 and read the “Parable Of The Sower.” The story tells of the 4 ways a person can
grow.
Finally, the months of Feb, Mar & Apr, we will
be holding our meetings at 7:00 pm instead of 8:00 pm. Due to Ash Wednesday being on our meeting
night next month, we will be holding our meeting on Wednesday Feb 6 at 7:00 pm.
