John R. Mihalek

Funeral services for John R. Mihalek, 50, of Willowick, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 E. 320th St., in Willowick.

Mr. Mihalek died Oct. 27, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family and fiancee.

Born May 25, 1954, in Cleveland, he lived in Willowick for the past 48 years.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Willowick and St. Mary Magdalene Church, and was an avid collector of memorabilia. He enjoyed landscaping, helping others, the country, outdoors, and taking care of animals. He also loved music and was the lead singer in the "Booze Brothers" band. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Mr. Mihalek worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Lake County Sewer Company Inc.

Survivors are his mother, Clorinda "Corky" (Santelli); sisters, Patti (Rick) Marucci, Diane (Tom "T.J.") Janes, Denise (Frank) Klima, Roberta (fiancee, Dave Romeo) of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces and nephews, Michael, Erica, and Marissa Marucci, Ashley, and Alexis Janes, and Frank and David Klima; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his fiancee, Kim Hildebrecht and her daughter, Dawn Hildebrecht, who was his daughter-to-be.

His father, Robert J., is deceased.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Monreal Funeral Home of Eastlake, 35400 Curtis Blvd., (new location). Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
