Dear Brother Knights and All,Above all matters, It is my hope that everyone has had a HAPPY and HOLY CHRISTMAS! Give yourself the great gift of embracing the true spirit of the season, reflecting on the glory of God made manifest in the birth of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. In Bethelehem, The Holy Family became the example for us to live by on that First Christmas Day. Always seek their intercession as you ask for guidance in the choices you make - that they will reflect God's love and bring joy, and peace to you and your family.
As this year comes to a close, we as a Council are encouraged by the vitality of the reactivated members, the changes that are being implemented, and the support of Fathers McCormick, Manno and Kita. CHANGE IS IN THE WIND! As Father McCormick explains, "This is not Our Club, The Knights of Columbus belong to Jesus, We are here to do His work." I agree with this. Can you imagine 344 active members doing "His work"?
That is next year's objective, Gentlemen, to do the work of Jesus through our hands. Some of the objectives for 2001 are already in the works. They are as follows:
In closing, Let's remember that we are doing "His work". Think of all that we can accomplish if we all work together. So much can be done, let's roll up our sleeves and get started.
Vivat Jesus!
