Search
Committee
The
Search Committee has already started the process of making phone calls to all
officers
to ask if they intend to stay at their current position, move up to the next
level or retire as an officer. In addition, other brothers will be contacted and
asked if they will be willing to take an officers position, pending the results
of the current slate of officers. All I ask of all brothers is to be honest with
yourself and the search
committee
in respect to your availability and commitment to your family and our council.
Comments
Let
us keep in our prayers all the allied forces involved in the war with Iraq. As
Americans we want to be successful in our goals in bringing Democracy to Iraq.
As
Christians,
we pray that peace talks may continue and can stop the war saving lives on both
sides. The power of prayer is greater than the offensive capabilities of any
armed
forces.

T
he Knights of Columbus
will be holding a Membership Open House on Saturday, April 5th
from 3 – 6 PM, in the meeting room at the parish
center. We would like to
invite
all Catholic gentleman age 18 or older to attend. Our goal is not to double our
membership, but to show prospective candidates and their families, who the
Knights of
Columbus
are and what they do. We strongly urge spouses and family members to attend the
Open House as they can also see what we are and help support the prospective
candidate. The Knights of Columbus are involved in the areas of Church,
Community,
Council,
Family and Youth, and were founded on the principle of providing financial
support to widows and orphans. Refreshments will be served, as members of the
Knights of Columbus will be on hand to give
St. Mary’s

show videos and answer any questions. There is no obligation to attend the Open
House, and we hope to see many new and familiar faces.

hanks to all who helped
in putting on yet another great St. Patricks day dinner. The Corned
Beef
and Cabbage boiled dinner was enjoyed by about 125 Parishioners and KofC family
menbers.
We
again served the meal Family Style and it went without a hitch thanks to all
your help.
Special
thanks to Chef Frank, who made his ancestry proud and the kitchen crew who put
on a great meal. Thanks as well to all those on the Parish baking tree for the
great assortment of goodies donated for our desert. I am pleased to report as
well that we raised almost $500 for our
council
from the ticket sales.

Prayer of John Paul II
"Oh Mary,
we entrust to you
the cause of life.
Look down upon
the vast numbers
of babies
not allowed to be born.
Grant all who believe
in your Son
to proclaim
the Gospel
of Life.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel
as a gift ever new,
to bear witness to it resolutely,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and Lover of Life.
Amen"
