In regards
to the increasing requirements high school students must meet to
graduate,
(including the California High School Exit Exam), and the reality that
some
students may not meet the stringent challenges of college, Pacific
Pathfinders Vocational Academy
is
designed and dedicated to assist these students to become
productive adults in our communities.
Within
our two-year programs, high school Juniors and Seniors will continue
the
academic courses required by the State of California, but instead of
the Fine
Arts electives most students take, we offer cabinetry, cosmetology,
medical
billing/secretarial, automotive and computer technology classes.
All
programs offer course work and hands on experience.
Upon the completion of the programs in
cosmetology, medical billing/secretarial and computer technology,
students will
receive a degree, license or certificate of mastery in their chosen
field. These students will be qualified
and ready to
obtain a well-paying career in one of these fields.
The programs in cabinetry and automotive not
only offer course work and hands on experience within the classroom;
they also
include apprenticeships with our community partners, as well. These students will be licensed in the field
of cabinetry and automotive maintenance.
In
a perfect
world, all students would graduate from high school and attend a
college or
university of higher learning. But as we
all know, we do not live in a perfect world, so we offer you and your
children…
Pacific
Pathfinders Vocational Academy.
