The programs at Pacific Pathfinders Vocational Academy will be offered to 250 students. The criterion the students must meet to enroll in the programs does not focus on grades, as much as it focuses on attendance, attitude, behavior and willingness to participate. Although the all programs are offered to both special education and regular education students, 125 spaces will be reserved for Special Education students, district wide. Buses will be provided to transport students technically schooled at other sites. The rationale for this is straightforward. First, the focus of the program was designed to meet the needs of Special Education students. In addition, the ratio of 11th and 12th grade Special Education students at the site of PPVA is considerably less than that of the regular education students. Finally, each program will have 50 students (25 students per section) with two teachers and one assistant per program.
