Day 6: Anchorage Arrival!!!
Day 6, and the weather is beautiful and the route is almost entirely downhill! Woo-hoo!!!  Only 45 miles to go today before we arrive at Closing Ceremonies!
Lunch break!
Leaving Palmer on Day 6! Woo-hoo! Almost there!!!
We arrive into Anchorage amidst much cheering and fanfare!  WE MADE IT!  WE DID IT!!! Can you BELIEVE IT?!?!
The Closing Ceremony was sentimental and beautiful.  Everyone held hands and cried, quite overwhelmed by it all.  We have just made a remarkable journey for an important cause and made some wonderful new friends along the way.  So many beautiful people and it is so hard to say good-bye...
Nicky and I!!!
These were my friends over the past week.  They shared themselves on so many different levels and made the experience what it was.  The day could be tiring, frustrating and impossibly difficult but they were there at days' end with an encouraging word and the soothing balm of love and laughter which can make everything alright.  It has been a privilege and joy to know each of you and I will look forward to seeing you all again soon!
