There's fire in the sky
Showers of sparks float gently by.
I watch as the glowing embers
Fade in the night like a song
Nobody remembers.
I watch upon the shore
As rippling beauty becomes no more.
Like generations that have gone before
Ages of wisdom and truth
That nobody treasures.
Time kills another hero
Spite chills another heart
Hate breeds another fear as
Life tears the world apart.
