Unfinished

Another hour, another day,
Another sunset fades to grey.
Yet still it seems, the more I try
To sail the rivers of this lie
The more I fade away.
And now I see that all my dreams
Have set their anchors in your streams.
My heart and soul compelled to flee
For fear of pain they mutiny.
"We've sailed these rivers once before
And left them wailing 'nevermore'
Shall we fall victim to the tide
Or to the moors of love be tied.
So let us flee these fancies vain
Lest we be drenched by coming rain
Those furious winds that ne'er abate
Through jealousy turn love to hate."
And still I'd never dare to sever
All the ties I so despise.
And tis this fear that keeps me here,
Held captive on this lonely pier.
