Ghost Stories
Right now, I only have one story to tell you, and for me this
was enough to give me the willies.
So I do hope you are reading this in the daytime.
My sister told this story to me.
The Man
My sister and her husband moved into a new apartment with their
two children. The children are quite
small and each have their own room in this new apartment.
Things started off pretty good, my sister's husband worked
nights sometimes, which bothered her being alone with the 2 babies, but it was
only for a while.
One night, not too long after they moved in, my sister was in
the living room watching television after the kids had gone to bed. The oldest one, who was now close to 2 years
old, was asleep in her room. My sister
heard her screaming and ran to her thinking she had a nightmare. When my sister came into the bedroom, the
child was saying "man, man".
My sister said there is no man, go back to sleep. After she calmed her down and she fell back
to sleep, my sister returned the living room.
A few minutes later, the child was frightened again. My sister went into the bedroom, this time
did a thorough search of the room. The
child still was saying there was a man in the room. My sister quieted her down and she fell back to sleep.
This went on for a few nights in a row. Well, needless to say my sister and her
husband were fed up with this "man".
One night after supper, my sister and the 2 children were in the
living room watching some television waiting for her husband to come home from
work. All of a sudden the oldest gets
up and walks towards her saying "man, man". My sister said "where's the man?" The child went over to the rocker and
slapped the seat, and said "man".
My sister didn't know what to do, because she didn't see a man
there. She said "there's no
man." The child insisted there was
a man sitting in the rocker. After a
bit, my sister asked where the man was, and the child said gone. My sister said "gone?", she said
"gone."
This was the last time for a few weeks that the child saw the
man. During this time, my sister and her husband were completely
baffled by this "man" problem.
They were really unsure what to do about, and didn't consider that the
child was lying. If she saw a
"man", she saw a "man".
The "man" returned again one night while they were
getting ready for bed. The child was
frightened once again. Both of them
entered the room, and saw the child curled up in a fetal position, all the way
against the headboard of the bed. My
sister said this little girl was scared and it seemed that she was trying to
get as far away from something as possible.
There was no pointing this time, the child said but two words
"man bites". My sister left
the child sleep in their room for the next few nights, thinking that the
"man" would leave her alone.
My sister entered the child's bedroom and all she could think of
was to say a prayer. Not knowing what
was going on, and really unsure of what was in the room, she had to try
something to get rid of this. The
prayer seemed to work. They lived there
for another 4 more months and didn't see a sign of the "man" any
longer.
