In the past, many Brother Knights have answered their nation's call to duty. Some even made the ultimate sacrifice, to ensure our freedoms remain intact. Let us be proud and grateful to those whose sacrifice, loyalty, and honor enable us to enjoy these times of peace and prosperity.

As Brother Knights we must answer another call to duty from our nation, a call to the ballot polls. We are called to exercise our right to vote, whether it is a local, general, or national election. Our republic needs our participation in order to preserve this great democracy of ours in our time, as well as to secure the future of our children.

One of the great freedoms we enjoy is to have our voice heard. Our elected officials arrived at their office by our vote. We need to communicate to them how we feel about present day issues, so they can effectively do their job. For they, like the Knights of Columbus, have taken an oath to service.
