| One day, a boy raised on Whale Island learns that his father is still alive. Gon Freeces, the boy, is the son of the legendary Hunter, Jin Freeces. Abondoned by his father at a young age, Aunt Mito, who took care of him, has kept this secret from him. Inspired to be a Hunter himself, Gon trained secretly over his young year until he was eligible to join the Hunter Exam. At that age, he argues with his Aunt to allow him to join the Hunter Test so that he will be able to meet his father as a Hunter. After the impatient days, Gon left Whale Island, waving good bye to his Aunt and Grandma on the dock and the creatures in the forest as he left to become a Hunter... |

| Hunter x Hunter is one of the best anime and manga, created by Yoshihiro Togashi (most known for Yu Yu Hakusho) finishing off with 62 episodes (for the first season, I hope), 8 episode OAV, and the manga going 14 volume and up. The story takes place in the 19th century where old and modern technology mix in a strange and unique world of the past and future. Gon, the main character, has just learned that his father, who is a famous Hunter, is still alive. Joining the Hunter Exam, Gon hopes to become a Hunter to meet his father, whom he has never seen. However, passing the Hunter Exam is not easy as it may sound. Approximately, 1 out of 100,000 contestants will pass the Exam and become hunters. You're also risking your life to pass the Exam which are made up of smaller tests.

| In Gon's journey, he meets up with three new friends: Leorio, Curapikt, and Killua, that becomes his best friends. The story doesn't only completely revolve around Gon, it also goes into those other characters. Hunter might seem like any ordinary Anime, but it adds a unique twist and characters to how the story goes.
