Born in Elizabeth N.J. in 1958 Leo started playing guitar at age 11. Other instruments soon followed. The multi genre aspect of Taglialavore's music is an important one, as he has worked through several eras of music, writing and performing for bands, including The Paris Project, Stomp Daddy & Mudcloud. Working as a solo musician, his musical styles range from Alternative and Ambient, to Industrial Rock, Acoustic, Punk and Funk, though hardly one of these genres could be used solely to describe Leo's hybrid attack of musical manifestations. Leo thoroughly enjoys breaking boundries & ignoring the musical rules. He simaltaneously reveres harmony and disonance, sparseness and the baroque, all a part of his musical style. Now an integrated multi-media artist, he has actively worked in film and video, mask making, and painting, to name a few of the artistic mediums, that inform his visually oriented dreamscapes.

Memories, life experience, and the progression of his work over a span of musical eras, are a big part of the Taglialavorian musical journey. Here are three of Leo's sites, which reveal his long term committment to creating art, with music as the priority.

One last impression comes to mind, as I fondly recall my introduction to this music, via the Soundclick website. Appropriately named Leonardo, there is a renessaince-like spirit here, defined by the ecclecticism, the discipline, and the constant quest for a redefinition of musical possibilities. Out of the well worn past and the sense of struggle, there is much joy, learning, magic and hope for the future, in these songs.

Now for a personal note from Leo: Hi Folks, I'd like to start by thanking Koalition for welcoming me into this group & to my Sweety Lisa for this bio. While here I'd also like to mention that I've several other websites of multi-media art, present musical solo projects & colabs which are also available if you should get through my above materials & might enjoy more. :^) There's, Battleship Grey / The Mother Fakirs / Taglialavore & Friends / Available CD's / Films / The Left Brain Show / Merchandise & Film Music site.

Thank You for your time, Be Good to each Other & stay well, Leo & Lisa xoxoxoxoxo
