| Dixie Vornbrock was born and raised on a cattle ranch in the mountains of Montana, and has since been transplanted to Minnesota. She has been playing and singing�in bands since the age of five when she was involved in her dad�s weekend band. High school and college found her in secular rock bands. In�1980, she gave her life and her music to Christ. Since then, she has been involved heavily in writing for the Lord, and setting up worship teams at various churches. Although her last band, Sure Foundation, has split up, Dixie still sings in choirs and worship teams and is involved in starting a new band at her church. Her main focus right now is writing lyrics that will reach out and touch people. Dixie does write secular music as well as Christian music, focusing on societal issues or personal relationships (yep, she does love songs!) Dixie is a member of BMI and has been signed as a lyricist with Statue Records.
