16km Timetrial 16th September 2007
What a great day for a time trial.  Thank goodness the wind didnt pickup to much and we had a tailwind on the way back to the finish line.

Who goes on a training ride to Wyndam  Saturday morning then backs up on  Sunday morning for a club 16km time trial? Well to answer that question youll have to ask Marion, Trevor and Baldy.  This is what all three did this weekend.  Most people rest before a tt but this trio leave for competition over east in the next week or two.  You could tell all three have been training hard with their great times over Kununurras pretty dead roads.

Marion seemed to suffer the first 8km lap then warmed up and finished with a really strong 2nd lap. She was the only competitor to do a faster 2nd lap then the first.  That is how you are supposed to do a tt.  Nice ride Marion.

Andrew had the morning off from the new baby as Amanda was baby sitting so we presume that it will be her time to ride next weekend.  Know any baby sitters available for Sunday mornings?

We had three newies as well today. Two opted for the 8km option. Both of them had good times for their first attempts.  It was nice to see a few ladies coming along for the rides and races. The more people we can get the better.

Russel was the new guy in the 16km option today.  He is still recovering from a bout of the flu and tried to enjoy his first tt even after loosing his chain.  Afterwards he mentioned that he was trying to aim for a 30km/h average so with all factors taken into account he did a very commendable time. Well done Russel and I am sure that we will see you improve on your performances over the coming weeks.  Congratulations.

Overall I am very impressed with everybodys performances so far in the two tts this year. Keep it up!!

A few of our regular riders couldnt make it today but we hope to see Mark, Jim, and George back in action soon.
