Major Paul Davis serves as envoy and consultant to the S.G.C. on matters dealing with the Stargate and internal security. Although he is quick to judge, he has served his country well. Often he stands alongside General George Hammond as a liaison back to the Pentagon, monitoring situations and preparing for action. He has also been known to safeguard the S.G.C. against nosy reporters who would like to expose secret military projects.

Although he considers Vancouver, B.C. home, he was raised in Los Angeles, California, with an older sister and younger brother. He first took to the stage when dared by a friend. After leaving Los Angeles in 1993, and relocating to Vancouver, Canada, he attended Vancouver Film School. Since then he's written, produced and starred in his own film, the highly acclaimed, award-winning Zacharia Farted (1998) and has worked consistently in both television and film. Colin is also a musician and plays the saxophone professionally, as well as the guitar, and he is a songwriter. He's film Zacharia Farted was a family affair, has his mom, dad and sister appeared in the film and his brother contributed to the soundtrack.
