Apophis took Sha´re and Skaara. Sha´re became host to Amonet, Apophis' bride, while Skaara became host to Klorel, Apophis' son. In return O'Neill convinced Apophis' first prime to betray him and join SG-1. Apophis and Klorel's attempt to invade Earth was thwarted by SG-1. Apophis died of wounds inflicted by Sokar, but was resurrected by Sokar and further tortured. He later escaped Netu to Sokar's home world of Delmak, where he was able to assume control of Sokar's vast army after the latter's death. Apophis and Amonet have a son, whom they believe was stolen by Heru-ur. In fact, Daniel and Teal'c took the child and hid him on Abydos. For a number of months, Apophis served as first prime to Bynarr, warden of Sokar's prison moon, Netu. His alias there was Na'onak. He died when has ship was over run with Replicaters, and crashed into Sokar's old home world.Click Here. That comes from this website Here.

MYTH'S OF APOPHIS:

Apep whose Greek name was Apophis, the Destroyer, which actual translation is unclear; the Romans believed it to mean "He Who Is Spat Out". It is stated in more than one text that "Apep" is not its actual Name, but while many other names are given for Apep, none is acknowledged to be the "true" one, possibly to avoid attracting the attention of this extremely powerful Presence. He is the Patron of evil and darkness, and looks like a great serpent or crocodile. Apep was the ancient spirit of evil and destruction who dwelled in eternal darkness. Every day he would attempt to devour the Sun Boat of Ra as it sailed the heavens. Set's original role was to battle Apep and keep him from destroying the boat. Occasionally, Apep would succeed, and the world would be plunged into darkness, which might have been solar eclipse. But Set and his companion Mehen would cut a hole in Apep's belly to allow the Sun Boat to escape. Apep commanded an army of demons that plagued mankind. Only by putting faith in the gods of light could people defeat the demons. Every year, the priests of Ra would hold a ritual called the "Banishing of Apep". They would take an effigy of Apep and in the center of the temple they would pray that all the wickedness in Egypt would go into the effigy. Then they would trample the effigy, crush it, beat it with sticks, pour mud on it, and eventually burn and destroy it. In this way, the power of Apep would be curtailed for another year. He was never worshipped.
