Have students access the Lesson Plan template, suggestions, and criteria.
2. Lesson Plan Overview
-What is a lesson plan? What should every lesson plan have? Hook; Conclusion; Follow-up; Strategies for Classroom Management & Learning; Individual Differences; What should every teacher know about teaching? Assessment-formal and informal; Potential problems; Justification;
-suggested readings:
3. What is Integration?
The act of bringing all the parts together to make a whole; learning in context; the I.R.P.s;
-Ask what have we done so far that has been integrated?
4. A look at Teaching Strategies & Classroom Strategies.
-Pass out handouts; draw attention to The Fundamentals of Classroom Management by Dr. Patricia Crehan;
5. Create 6 groups for lesson presentations. Purpose of the activity is to gain an understanding of lesson planning and implementation and how to give constructive feedback;
6. Groups 1 & 2 start today for the first 2 lesson presentations
Guidelines for group work:
ุ 1st student: figures out subject integration & I.R.P.s, suggests modifications for use at other grade levels and other possible songs in music text or other resources that relate to this lesson presented.
ุ 2nd student: creates out lesson plan format specifically materials, hook, procedure, conclusion and organizes the results from other members.
ุ 3rd and 4th students: create an assessment plan and provide justification of why this particular lesson to meet I.R.P. objectives.
ุ 5th and 6th students: work on potential problems and provide positive feedback and think about or things to work on

Group 2 meet with Barb from 1:00 1:30 p.m. in room 1317.

9. Research Project D.R.E.A.M. design and Day 1 plan
Begin with Dream song then Dream Big poem.
