Self Awareness and Art: by Allison Leech

PLO: It is expected that students will use feelings, memory, and imagination as sources for images.

Activity: I will show the class the belt I have made and talk with them about how it says my name, Miss Leech, and I am special because… I will write on the board, “I am special because…”and talk with class about things that make each one of them special and unique. The student will write one or two things that they feel makes them special and then decorate and wear their belt. Students can use glitter, felts, crayons etc. to decorate their belt.~25 minutes.

Materials: cardboard for belts, ribbon, felts, stickers, pencil crayons etc.
