I like this site because it contains good content and is easy to use. It is well organized and seems to be current. It is aimed at educators and includes a lesson plan / activities section. It is well referenced and lists many useful resources. There is information on some schools where multicultural programs are flourishing. There is also a forum area where threaded discussions are possible. From what I can see it does not seem to be well used, so its usefulness may be diminished, but at least it is there and it has the potential to be very powerful.
The site is powered by “McGraw-Hill” and as far as I can tell, this does not hamper the site. There is a section where you can order their books, but overall the profit taking side of the business is unobtrusive (I appreciate that).
It is not a terribly deep site, but it is a good place to start. The entire site seems to be written by a single author, Paul Gorski, a professor at the University of Maryland. I guess a Canadian site with Canadian authors would be more appropriate for our purposes.
