Story & Art

Objective:

How to use Art & Story

Summary:

1. Make illustrations for a story

2. iMovie animation

3. Slideshows -(powerpoint, kidpix, kidworks, amazing writing machine, appleworks...) A few computers could be used as a visual tool to tell a story. An author or the students themselves could compose the story. A slide show could be made. Students could scan their own pictures of the story and use them for a slide show or another way to illustrate the story.

4. Make a puppet show about the story

5. Make an iMovie story or a film about certain a certain character or characters.

6. Students can draw the shape of the plot

7. Just as we represented music through images on paper, students can represent a story (you remember that art project - draw a continuous line...)

8. Creating newspapers

Comments:

Each one of the ideas above needs to be developed into a microteaching lesson. The P.L.O.'s need to be examined so that the original concept of Story-time is still one of the focal points. After you've created a microteaching lesson, go back and check to see if any other points in this title or the other titles have been included. There might be cross-over. Note this connection to other areas. Thanks.
