Committee Information
Committees for Term 2 (Jan. to Mar.):
1. School Contacts:_________________________________________
Your responsibilities will include communication contacts at school, receive weekly e-mail and make sure your peers and advisors are up to date with information; practicum organization and presentation of responsibilities on Week 2 and Week 9;
2. Social Committee: ________________________________________
Your responsibilities include organizing a social event for week 4 and week 10; Birthday celebrations; alternative tubing week;
3. Classroom Management Committee ____________________________
Your responsibilities include examining classroom management as it applies to the classroom i.e. finding material, songs, etc. to aid your peers in establishing an effective classroom on practicum; organization of half day on Week 7; sharing and room decorations; assignment schedules; class funds;
4. I-Movie Committee ________________________________________
Your responsibilities include filming, editing, connections in to FAME and UBC teacher education program; present a workshop on week 3 and 9 for the class as a whole or in small groups – speak to Technology committee about particulars, etc.;
5. Technology Committee _____________________________________
Your responsibilities include exploring new software, sharing and posting your findings; organizing 2 half day workshops for the class – i.e. finding presenters, setting up schedule, etc. for Week 3 and week 9;
6. D.R.E.A.M. Committee _____________________________________
Your responsibilities include examining how Teacher Education can effectively use technology in the methods courses to better serve student teachers in the 1 year Teacher Ed. Program; have input into the Week 5 – Alternative to Classroom Setting and possibly Week 8;
