Class Appreciation and Language Arts: by
Allison Leech
Goal: Students will gain further appreciation for all the friends they have in the class.
Activity: I will first read the book, “Brown, Bear, Brown Bear.” Next, using our photos from Monday, we will make our own book entitled, “Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Clark.”
I will give each child their photo and a piece of construction paper to decorate and glue their photo to. On the top of their piece of paper, the student is to write, “I see (their own name) looking at me.” At the bottom, they are to write, (their first & last name, their f&l name, who do you see?” The first page of the book will have Mrs. Turner’s and Mrs. Clark’s photos on it and will read, “Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Clark, who do you see?” and at the top of the next page it will read, “I see Miss Leech looking at me” at the bottom of this page it will read (Miss Leech, Miss Leech) who do you see?” Next page, I see (Mrs. H) looking at me. This will continue until all children have had a turn and then the last page will have a photo of the entire class and it will read, “I see all my friends looking at me!”~30 minutes.
Materials: photos of each students, construction paper, coloring tools.
