The Lord is seen witha Marakkal ( a woodden measure ) as a pillow. Because of this reason this Emperumal is also called as 'Aandu Alakkum Iyan' or 'Padiyallakum Paramadhayalu'. (God who measures things). On the left hand is a Olai( palm leaf) and a Ezutthani ( a writing implment) Tirumangai Azhwar and Kamadenu can be seen at the foot of the Lord.

Approach : It is located at 5 kms from Swami Malai. Thirupullam Boodhankudi & Adhanur are around 2 kms from Thiruvaigavur. All the buses proceeding to Thiruvaigavur from Swami Malai, Kumbakonam etc., will lead to Thiru Adhanur. There is no much facilities available at Adhanur either to stay at Swami Malai or Kumbakonam and visit the temple.
