Know Jive was formed in 1997 by members of the group Subdivision, who decided they wanted to release their music for the people to consume. Armed with a mic, a four-track and a busted ass keyboard, evs, Humdrum and Incyte recorded and released their first four-track tape Files in the Attic in October of 1997. Two years later, they released their second offering The Appetizer ep, which proved to be their final group effort.
Halfway House Recordings: Following the departure of Humdrum to the army, and Incyte's dedication to clothing design, evs branched off on his own, developing his craftmanship as a beatmaker and emcee, associating himself with friends from Los Angeles to the Bay Area. Since 2000, he has dropped two EP's and an instrumental album, all of which have gained a small interest among those who have followed Subdivision since its beginning, as well as making appearances here and there on different projects. 2003 and beyond finds Incyte with a brand new single and evs with a handful of unfinished projects in the works. Stay tuned for more.
