Sometimes when I look at the things I have written, I think This is a guy who
knows where his
towel is at. At other times I think what a load of crap, I've learned the
art of psychobabble. With a little help I could probably write another self
help book.
We know that the secret of life, the universe and everything is 42. Deepthought
was able to figure that out, but what does it mean. The
babelfish
proved that god does not exist. which means that life is absurd.
The one trait of the human race which has caused more misery them anything
else is our ability to think. It is rare that what we are thinking will
increase the quality of our existence. While we have capable of causing
incredible cruelty to animals which we wrongly believe to be out inferiors, we
reserve the worst cruelty for ourselves.
If the life we are experiencing now is all there is, all I can say what a
waste. We spend most of our time worrying about the future, dwelling on the
past or watching some mindless piece of crap on the TV. If an 80 year old
person was able to spend one day really experiencing the joys of life he/she
is lucky.
An oak tree doesn't worry about dying or being cut down by a
lumberjack
It just exists being perfectly satisfied with being a tree. Why can't we be
satisfied being what we are? No matter what we have, we want more.
If instead of spending almost all our lives thinking, we focused on feeling,
we would be lot happier.
Christians think of Satan as an evil powerful creature that torments those who
do not believe as they do. They get pleasure at the thought of this. If
Satan exited, he would think "Christians, you've got to love them".
While I don't believe in Satan I think his equivalent is anything that causes
man to make himself miserable. Hate, anger, jealousy are a few of his names.
For the sake of simplification I will call ham Satan.
Satan has no power of his own. We give him power. Every time we refuse to
forgive someone we empower him. Every time we.cannot accept ourselves we
empower him. Once in a while we manage to out from under his grip but usually
not for very long. The are a few people who manage to remove Satan from their
lives, maybe on in a million.
It ironic that while Jesus seems to be on of the few people who succeeded in
this, most of has followers tend to empower Satan. More people were killed
and tormented for religious reasons then for anything else.
I want to stop thinking and start feeling, Maybe in my next life I will be an
oak tree.
