| HAVING DREADS DONE IS NOW A WHOLE LOT EASIER! |
| That's right... Time consuming and painful but a whole lot easier. I bet you're wondering why... If you wanna have dreads done and you do your research before you actually go for it you know that dreadlocks take time to mature. Hair has to settle down and be well formed into knots. These knots will grow tighter and tighter day by day, week by week, month by month... Yes, it's 100% you're gonna have to wait for months until your hair is actually locked, especially if you have caucasian hair, like me :) And believe me I've been through hell... So, you find someone to dread your hair for 60 pounds (which is usually an african girl - no offense but they can't work on caucasian hair even though they DO wonders on african hair). She dreads you up, tells you to use bees wax, don't wash your hair for as long as people around you are "ok" with the smell, TWIST and WAIT. Yeah, that's right... 1. Bees wax can be used for dry dreads only! It is a moisturizer that is why dreadheads with african hair use it - their dreads are DRY! It can also be used for keeping the dread together, in small amounts only! 2. If you don't wash your hair : it is going to be very difficult for it to lock, it's gonna smell PRETTY bad, you'll get dandruff and oily hair and you'll lose all your friends 3. Twist... Unfortunately, we are not all blessed with the almighty african hair. For real, I WISH I could just twist my hair and make it lock. I'd be in heaven! Caucasian hair don't lock with twisting - NOT EVER - NOT IN ALL OUR DREAMS :( 4. ...And wait... Wait for months... You haven't washed your hair in a month, you got dandruff, oil pouring out of your head, itchy scalp, your girlfriend just doesn't call you anymore, and you can't stand this smell anylonger.. And the bees wax on your hair is melting when you run, and it's not the best smell in the world either... And this hair is NOT locking... OF COURSE IT'S NOT LOCKING! It's dirty and oily and full of that horrible wax!!! You don't have to go through what I've been through! I can make things easier for you! Thanks to Magic Barbara from Poland there is no need for not washing, waiting, itching etc.. You come to us and you leave with perfect, mature, TIGHT AS HELL dreadlocks! Of course it does take a hell of a long time (approximately 30-50 mins for each dread depending on hair length) and it HURTS LIKE HELL but the result is MAD TIGHT LOCKS! Ok, if you've already made the decision to have your dreads done here's step by step what you need to do: BEFORE YOU CALL US FOR AN APPOINTMENT 1. Have a lice treatment (don't ask why,,just do it,it's only 3.50 from your nearest pharmacy :) 2. If your hair is healthy, straight, smooth, shiny and all that shit you better do something to damage it.. Perm, Bleach stuff like that. Perm is recommemded though (20-25 pounds) MAKE THE CALL AND..: 3. For 2 weeks before the appointment, stop using conditioner. I suggest you wash your hair 2-3 times/week with a dandruff treatment shampoo. There are lots out there, I prefer Head&Shoulders with mint (smells lovely). This is the shampoo you're gonna wash your dreads with, no need for special dread shampoos! (unless you end up with extra dry and damaged locks) 4. Wash your hair the night BEFORE the appointment. Hair has to be CLEAN and DRY! DURING THE DREADING...... 5. Ok, most probably we will not finish in one day (depends on how long the hair is). But for sure, we will work for more than 10 hours per day. Of course it mostly depends on YOUR schedule. The point is, you are going to get really BORED. So, bring your PLAYSTATION, favorite DVDs, books, magazines, your friends to keep you entertained... 6. Also do not forget that this really HURTS. I really cannot expain how much it hurts... It's even impossible for someone to imagine. You need something to ease the pain. Your girlfriend (and maybe her hot friend too:), lots of painkillers (your choice on that one). My suggestion is looooooaaaaads of weed. Maybe and ounce will do... Maybe... 7. When we're all done, PAY US! :)))) AFTER THE DREADING... 8. You go home and cry coz you cannot stand the pain, and you can't lie your head on your so familiar pillow and you are tired... 9. After 3 days call for a last appointment and wash your hair. The next day, you're gonna come and we're gonna fix whatever went wrong after the shower. (for free that is) 10. IF YOU WANT TO, you can come for maintaining every 1-1.5 month (for the roots or whatever you like) THAT'S ALL... PERFECT LOCKS... DOES IT SOUND DIFFICULT? CONTACT US FOR INFO! |
