Alexis
penthouse The Next Day
Alexis and Steven met with a private detective. He should investigate
Caresss past. Neither Alexis nor Steven believed that the investigation of
the police would find something that proved Alexiss innocence, because they
doubt that the police were really looking for evidence that pointed in a
different direction. I want you to find out everything you possibly can on
my sister and her life in Europe. Alexis asked him.
And see what you can come up with about her lawyer Kenneth Maher. Steven
added. They just had to find a way to prove that he had given a false
testimony. He had lied about Caresss will and her intention to change it.
But how could they get him to confess?
Okay. I'll see what I can find out. The private detective replied, getting
up. Ill call you. He said and left the penthouse.
Proving my innocence wont be easy. Alexis stated.
But not impossible. The truth will come out. Steven tried to show optimism.
I wish Zachs condition would finally show any signs of improvement. I need
him to testify that it was Caress who shot him. Alexis said frustrated.
Steven nodded. He knew the importance of Zach Powers statement. I have a
surprise for you. Steven said with a gentle smile.
I hope a good one. Alexis asked without much interest.
Actually he should be here any minute. Steven replied, looking at his
watch. He hoped it would cheer her up.
Just then, the elevator doors slid open and Adam entered the penthouse.
Alexis turned around and saw him.
"Adam! Darling She exclaimed happily,
rushing over to him. I was so worried about you. She said, embracing him
with all her strength.
Adam returned the embrace. Im fine, mother. He assured her.
I couldnt bear losing you a second time. Alexis said, looking up at him.
You should know that you wont get rid of me that easily, mother. Adam said
with a grin.
Steven watched them and was glad that it worked. Adams return would help
Alexis to forget about the arrest and the upcoming trial for a moment.
La Mirage- the temporary lobby
Patricia Harrison was enjoying her cocktail while she was waiting in the
lobby of La Mirage, well what could pass as a lobby since the fire, but she
had seen the model that was in the foyer, it showed the guests what to expect
in the future. She had been impressed on what Fallon Carrington Colby had
built after she had come here. Patricia could very well imagine Fallon being
a tough business woman, had she already been a tough little brat the last
time shed seen her. And that was ages ago. But now she wanted to see her
again. After all, Fallon Carrington was the one who made her leave Denver.
Patricias eyes immediately focused on Fallon and Jeff as they entered.
Fallon looked around and gave her husband a satisfied smile.
Once everything is renovated, La Mirage is going to be bigger and better
than ever, she said. More than ever Fallon wanted this hotel to become one
of the most famous and luxurious hotels again.
Oh honey, I dont have any doubts about that. And Roman seems to know what hes talking about. Jeff replied.
Patricia was a bit nervous when she rose up from her chair. She started
walking towards Jeff and Fallon who were heading for the reception. She
wasnt sure if Fallon would recognize her again. Pretending to look for
something in her purse she intentionally bumped into Fallon and dropped it.
Oh my God, Im awfully sorry, Fallon said and immediately bent down to help the lady picking up the things that had fallen out. When the two women were standing again, facing each other, Fallon felt a strange feeling coming up, but Patricia broke the silence.
Oh, never mind. Clumsy me, Im always having my head in the clouds. She
gave Fallon a cool smile. You dont remember me, do you? Patricia thought.

No, it was my fault, Fallon insisted. Let me make it up to you. Ill have
a bottle of champagne send to your room You are a guest here, are you?
No, Im not. I called a few days ago and somebody at the reception told me
you dont have any free rooms, due to the renovation.
Jeff looked puzzled at his wife. I didnt know you closed all the rooms, he
said.
Well, I didnt, Fallon replied and then turned to Patricia again.

Listen, you have been misinformed. Ill find out who misinformed you and
Ill have a suite booked for you, Mrs. ...
Thats not necessary, I already have a room now, but thank you. Goodbye
Patricia said coldly and walked out, leaving puzzled Jeff and Fallon alone.
What a strange woman, Jeff said, wrinkling his forehead. Fallon was still
standing there watching Patricia leave the hotel and the door close. The
strange feeling came up again.
Kyle's Apartment
Krystina and Kyle sat together on the sofa, watching the television and
kissing. They barely left the apartment in the last few days. Krystle begged
Krystina to come to the mansion and pretend that she is still living there,
but Krystina refused to go on with the charade and visited Blake only once,
telling him that shes going for the weekend with a friend of her.
Im going to talk with my father soon. I cant lie to him anymore she told
Kyle and was about to shut the TV down.
Dont. I want to see the news he asked her. Krystina wasnt interested in Alexis Colbys arrest, but Kyle wanted to hear the latest on that. He was still afraid the police would connect his name to the tragedy with Caress Morel and Zach Powers.
What do you think? Krystina asked.
What, about Alexis Colby?
About me seeing my father, Kyle.
Oh, that.
Yes, that.
I dont know. Dont you think its a little bit soon?
No. He has to know the truth. You dont know my father. The minute he hears that Im married you hell be furious. Not to mention the fact that everybody lied to him. The longer I postpone that conversation the angrier will be his reaction. She said.
Kyle was about to reply to it when somebody knocked on the door. Who was that? Just a moment. He said, getting up and approaching the door. Mr. Cohen! Kyle was surprised to see his landlord standing in front of him.
Hello Mr. Roberts, you must know the reason Im here. The man said coldly.
Actually I was about to call you. I need a few more days.
Not one day more, Mr. Roberts. I have been waiting long enough!
I know, and Im very thankful for your patient, but Im really trying here, okay? Just give me a few days more. Ill pay you the rent by the end of the month. Kyle asked, thinking it would work.
Do you have a hearing problem, or what? I said no more time! I want the money, Mr. Roberts! He repeated. Krystina turned off the TV and joined them.
Whats the matter, honey?
Nothing, darling. Ill be right back. Kyle tried to cover the situation, but Krystina had realized what it was about.
Mr. Cohen we will pay the rent by the end of the month. Thats a promise. She tried.
Look lady, your husband hasnt paid rent for almost three months now. I was more than generous, but enough is enough. Now you have two choices, either you pay the rent now, or you leave this building immediately.
We will pay. Just give us one more day, please sir? Krystina looked at him with pleading eyes.
The man looked at Kyle, then back at Krystina. Okay. You have twenty four hours to get the money to pay the rent of the last three months plus the rent of next month!
Next month. Kyle jumped, but Krystina hurried to clam the atmosphere.
All right, we will pay you everything by tomorrow this time.
You better, otherwise I will be forced to call the police and have you evicted. Mr. Cohen said and then left. Kyle closed the door and stepped back inside with Krystina. By the look on her face he could tell how angry she was right now.
Three months? She said reproachfully.
One day! How are we supposed to get that sum of money in one day? Kyle was frustrated.
Ill take care of it. She said determined.
How
Just leave things to me, okay? God knows that you werent successful
The remodeled La
Mirage- Fallons office
Fallon sat back as her lawyers explained in detail what the terms of the contract entailed. She looked across the table and watched her new partner, Roman Rameries. Even his name seemed intriguing.
So as you can see Mrs. Colby all the papers are in order, all they need is
your signature.
All Right she took the pen and signed her name, then Roman did the same.
Well that is that. Roman spoke. Now if you gentlemen wouldnt mind leaving
us alone.
The six attorneys left the room, and Roman smiled as he walked over to
Fallon. Well partner I think this calls for a toast.
I think you are right. Fallon walked over to the model of the renovations
that the architects constructed while Roman opened a bottle of champagne. I
cant believe this model.
Believe it. La Mirage will be the show place of Denver. People form all over
the country will flock here to stay at our resort.
Roman handed her a glass.
What should we toast to? Fallon asked. She smiled at Roman and looked into
his eyes. He was so intriguing, and his stare was intoxicating. But the eyes
seemed so familiar.

A toast to prosperous times for the both of us Roman smiled, a long and
healthy relationship for our union.
Fallon smiled as she sipped her champagne. Roman sat his glass down, and
placed his hands on Fallons cheek. She looked puzzled, but didnt protest.
You are a very beautiful woman Fallon Colby; Im a very lucky man to work
with a woman who has a body along with a stunning brain. He leaned in for a
kiss and then Fallon snapped out of it a pulled away.
Ah Roman, we are business partners only, and besides Im a married woman, dont forget that!
As you wish Roman took her hand. Until we meet again, I think Im going to
take a look at my new offices. He closed the door behind him. Well you
turned me away again just like you did so many years ago Fallon Carrington,
but this will be the last time. He said to himself as he walked into his new
office.
Ah this will do nicely. He said to no one. I think this will do very
nicely. He turned facing the open door. Well Fallon, I hope you enjoy your
new capital, but it will be a costly deal, for I have big plans for our
little operation here. Plans for my future, or should I say our future
Meanwhile, back in her office, Fallon sat down at her desk, feeling the flush of her cheeks rise. She sighed. With all that had happened lately: the fire, Miles accident and now her mothers upcoming trial, it was nice to take her mind off of things. She just hoped that Roman wouldnt make things difficult here at work for her.
She smiled. It was nice to know that she was still attractive. She was knocked back to reality when the phone rang, Hello.
Hi honey, its me. Jeff said on the other end of the line.
Jeff!
How was the meeting with Roman?
Okay I guess. Any news with Miles?
No, But I just got home, and our daughter is missing again.
Fallon slammed her fist on the desk. But she was grounded.
She has snuck out again. Jeff added. I was hoping that she had called
you.
Well she didnt, Im coming home right now, and when I get my hands on her.
Im going to rig her neck.
Vila in uptown Denver
 private party
Lauren entered the big villa, together with Ricky, who had convinced her earlier to come with him to this party. Well have fun. He had told her. She had been afraid of her parents reaction, but Ricky had calmed her and promised that she would enjoy it.
Hey, bro. Whos the chick? Some of the boys asked Ricky.
Oh, a friend of mine, Lauren, this is Jimmy.
Hello, Jimmy. Lauren smiled to him and the boy smiled back, while examining her. It was obvious that she came from a good house.
Hi, babe. Welcome to our world! He laughed. Come on, its party time! He yelled and joined his friends who danced in the big salon.
Lauren looked at them and felt like a stranger. She had never been at this kind of party and she didnt feel like one of them. Ricky, its too noisy here! Can we go? She asked him.
What? We just got here! Dont be so difficult, Lauren. Well have a great time here, youll see. Come on! He grabbed her hand and took her to the center of the salon.
Come over here Rick, we have something good for you. One of the guys called Ricky and took him aside. Lauren remained in her position, looking at the people dancing. It wasnt hard to guess that they were on something. One of the guys came closer to her, totally high.
Hey babe, do you want to dance? He put his hand on her shoulder.
No, thank you. She released herself from his hand.
So maybe you want something else? He laughed.
Leave me alone, okay?
Hey, whats your problem?
Nothing, okay? Just leave me alone.
I know exactly what you need. He said, offering her a joint. Come on baby, relax! He told her. Lauren pushed him away and run over to Ricky.
Ricky, I want to go home. She asked him, but he ignored her request.
Dont spoil the fun, take something He whispered and the guy who offered her the grass showed up again.
You should listen to your boyfriend, babe. He laughed.
He is not my boyfriend! Lauren said angrily.
Really? Thats great! He got excited and grabbed her arm again. Come on, Ill take care of you
I dont want anything. I just want to go home. Lauren protested.
You dont have to go home. Ricky laughed at her. Come on, babe. Dont spoil the fun. Try this! He pressured her.
No, shes just a little girl, Rick. Lets go The guy provoked her.
Im not a little girl! Lauren got annoyed.
You sure behave like one! The guy noticed and she became even angrier.
Okay, give it to me! She said, grabbing the grass from him. He smiled.
The Denver Police
department
Sgt. Harper was reading a report when his partner burst into the office.
Come on, Craig. Tanner wants us to do an observation in the Jackson case.
Lewis said, putting on his coat.
Harper shut the report and got up. Wait, Frank! Maybe we made a mistake.
Maybe we rushed the arrest. He expressed his doubts.
Which one? Lewis asked, assuming Harpers answer already.
Alexis Colby. His younger partner replied, handing the report to him. B
Lewis ran his eyes over it. Thats the autopsy of Cassandra Morel. Well, she
fell from her penthouse terrace. I guess there wont be a surprise about what
caused her death ... He continued reading.
She was HIV positive. She had AIDS. Harper stated.
Lewis looked up at him So what!
Dont you understand, she was going to die anyway. Harper explained.
Craig, I really cant see any connection here. What is your problem with
Alexis Colbys arrest suddenly? His partner wondered.
In all her interrogations she insisted that her sister committed suicide. I
didnt believe her so far, because why should an attractive and wealthy woman
like Cassandra Morel end her life? But now Im not sure anymore ... maybe
there is more to it than we can see.
But all the evidence points to Alexis Colby. Lewis objected.
She said that the evidence was manipulated. Harper replied.
She couldnt prove her claims and there are contradictions over
contradictions in her testimony. Why should her sister shoot Zachary Powers
when she wanted to make him to her sole heir? Lewis reminded his partner.
I dont know. Harper admitted.
Lewis put the report aside. This case is completed. Its up to the court
now.
Delta Rho
Steven opened the freezer door, took out the vodka bottle and poured himself
a drink. He closed his eyes remembering what he just saw when he walked in
on. Sammy Jo and Jim were having dinner.
Sammy Jo, dinner has been amazing. Thank you so much for having me here.
Ill make it up to you. Jim smiled brushing her face with his hand.
Dont worry about it, just get better, so we can go on with our lives.
Sammy Jo stated pulling back.
Together? You are so beautiful and sexy. I will become the man you deserve.
I love you! Jim pulled her close to him and kissed her.

Sammy Jo lingered on as she noticed from the corner of the eye a movement. Realizing who it was she got up. I better get the real desert. Dont go anywhere!
I wont! Jim smiled. The plan of staying at the ranch was working better than expected. He would make sure Sammy Jo would forgive him and stay here indefinitely. He would win her over. It was just be a matter of time.
Sammy Jo walked into the kitchen and found Steven starring at his glass.
Steven what are you doing here?
Steven looked up at her, his eyes tired and in pain. What am I doing here?
Whats Jim doing here?
Ive asked him to stay here till hes back on his feet. Ashley cant take
care of him all by herself. Sammy Jo explained watching Stevens face
getting angrier.
Youve got to be kidding. You wont let me stay but its ok for him! Steven
said. Its the same thing you stayed as long as you were sick and I dont
have to explain myself to you. Sammy Jo explained.
Sammy Jo, unlike me I dont think Jim plans on leaving. Hell never get
better. Hes just trying to find another way of getting into your bed.
Steven pleaded.
Steven, give me some credit, I can handle him. Anyway arent you here for
the same reason, to get into my bed? Sammy Jo retorted.
Yes, thats exactly why Im here. Steven stated sarcastically.
Which part of the I think you need to get a life did you not understand?
Sammy Jo asked.
The part where I need you! Steven raised his voice.
For how long? Sammy Jo asked as Stevens cell-phone rang.
I need to get that, it could be about mother. Steven explained.
And she always comes first! Sammy Jo yelled.

Yes, alright, Im on my way! Steven answered his cell-phone.
Sammy Jo turned and opened the refrigerator door and took out the pie. She
slammed the door as she heard Steven say, I have to go, we are not finish
We are so finished, I will not be another charity case for you or last on
your priority list, I want more and I intend to get it. Sammy Jo headed out.
Steven grabbed her and pulled her back. I will not let you push me away this
time, I know you. We will continue this later. He kissed her head and walked
out. Sammy Jo stared after him, Go help your mother, see if I care.
The Carrington Mansion
Blake sighed as he put down his glasses on the desk. He rubbed his eyes and he was tired. But he had to go through those papers. He wanted to be up-to-date about Denver Carringtons new project, when he returned. Jeff had done a good job so far and Blake was glad about that. He even thought about making him the new presidents of Denver Carrington once he retired. But that would be far in the future.
Half an hour later Blake finished his reading and was about to get to bed, when he heard a knock on the door and Gerard showed up. He looked a bit worried.
Mr. Carrington, theres a woman with yellow roses at the front door who wants to see you. I told her you wouldnt see anybody at this hour, but...
What woman? Didnt she say who she is? Blake wanted to know.
No, she refused to tell me her name. Gerard replied. I told her that you were resting and did not wish to be disturbed.
Let her in! Blake said a bit harshly.
But, sir
Let her in, Gerard! Blake repeated.
Gerard stood there for another second, then left.
First a bunch of yellow roses from an anonymous friend, then a Christmas gift with no message attached in front of the door and now that strange woman. Blake finally wanted to know what this was all about. He had enough of this kind of games and certainly didnt need any kind of trouble. He got up from the desk and after he turned around he froze when he looked at Patricia, who was standing at the door.
Hello Blake, Patricia said and smiled, as we FADE OUT....
