Denver Memorial Hospital- Jim's room

Sammy Jo has been sitting near Jim bed for the past half hour, debating whether to stay or leave. His body was all bandaged up, his face was fine. Sammy Jo touched his face. She loved him so much, but could she trust him? Will he be there for her if he was the father of the babies she was carrying? Ashley said he was a wonderful father but could he really be a good husband? At least there is a chance of a future with Jim unlike Steven.

“Oh Jim, I want to hate you but I can't. Damn you! Why did you help Lindsay? How could you ask me to let Steven go when you haven't? Oh damn you” Sammy Jo got up.

Jim grabbed her hand. “Sammy Jo don't go, I love you. Let me explain” Jim said weakly.

Sammy Jo sat back down. “Jim, please. This can wait, you need to get better”

"No, I need to make you realize I love you. I'm going to change and become a man worthy of you. You are the one I want to be with. Steven was just a fling, nothing more. Even last week when we slept together it was meaningless. He knows that now” Jim began.

Sammy Jo closed her eyes; the past few days were too much. Jim squeezed her hand and continued

“Lindsay could have ruined my career and life. You and Steven were in New York and I was jealous so I stupidly went to her. She was always obsesses about me and about her revenge on your family. I was always able to talk her down but then she left Germany and met her husband. He was too blindly in love with her and he was a vicious tyrant. They were a dangerous team” Jim stopped and rest a little.

“So when you came to Denver you knew who Steven and I were?” Sammy Jo asked.

“No, Lindsay never mentioned names. I had no idea she would take it as far as she did. At first I helped her, hoping it will help me win you over while she dealt with Steven. Now I know it was a mistake but I was stupid and desperate. Can you forgive me? Please, I LOVE YOU! I need you” Jim begged.

“Jim, I don't know, I need time…” Sammy Jo signed.

“I am willing to wait as long as it takes. There is so much I want to tell you. Ashley and LB have been…” Jim began as Sammy Jo hushed him.

“It’s okay. We all know about that. Even Danny, just rest”

“He found out, oh the poor boy. Personally I thought Danny was the right guy for her. But she made her choice and her mistakes. I'm not much of a role model. I’m going to change, I promise you. For you and our children. I started by saving you and your family in the fire” Jim stated.

“Yes Jim, we're grateful and thank you for that. Now why don't we take it one day at a time okay? I better let you rest, I'll come back tomorrow.” Sammy Jo kissed him and got up.

“Sammy Jo wait, I'm not finished, I need you to talk to the police, I need to tell them about the Consortium, Caress and Kyle” Jim added.

„What about Kyle?“ Sammy Jo sat back down.

„You have to warn Krystina. He is not what she thinks he is“ he whispered.

The Carrington Mansion, Dining room

“You what?!” Krystle stood up and looked at her daughter, shocked. Fallon, Jeff, LB and Steven seemed stunned too. They all stooped eating and looked at Krystina who was sitting to the dinner table with Kyle next to her. The only one who wasn’t surprise was Sammy Jo. She expected the family to react this way; she knew they won’t be improved to learn that Krystina married Kyle Roberts.

“Please everybody; don’t make a big deal out of this. I love Kyle very much and I want to spend my life with him” Krystina said calmly.

“Are you crazy?” Fallon joined Krystle and stood up. “You only eighteen!”

“Why didn’t you say anything, Krystina?” Steven asked.

“Because she knew how we’ll react, that’s why!” Fallon was angry. “You didn’t tell daddy about that, I hope” she added.

“No, not yet”

“Thank god for that!” Krystle said. “And you are not going to tell him about that either”

“Well not now, but – “ the girl tried but her sister cut her off.

“But nothing. Daddy is very weak now, he won’t survive another shock now, can’t you understand what it’s doing to him, to see you hanging around with this punk?!” Fallon raised her voice.

“Kyle loves me, he is the only one who wants my best and understands me” she said, stood up and joined him.

“Krystina, he is not the man you think he is” Sammy Jo said and looked at Kyle. Krystina looked her, surprised. She didn’t expect her cousin to justify what the others said. She always found Sammy Jo as a comforting and caring. “You don’t know all the truth”.

“She knows everything about me. I don’t have any secrets” Kyle said to her and took her arm. “Let’s go, Krys. I should have listened to you. They’ll never accept me” his face looked sad.

“Krystina. Listen to me. Kyle knew who Georgia Parker is. He knew all about her plan to destroy the family. He knew she’s about to kill your parents” Sammy Jo said and everybody looked at her stunned.

“It’s not true, Krys. I didn’t know anything about that” Kyle was hurried to defend himself.

“So why you came to Blake’s office the night before the fire? You told him you have something very important that will help him” Jeff began to connect things.

“I didn’t know anything about this woman. I only wanted to tell Mr. Carrington that he should be careful from this reporter; I felt something is not right. But he kicked me out from his office, Krys. He didn’t give me the chance to talk. I wanted so much to explain him things and ask his permeation to marry you, but he just wouldn’t listen. You know how much I love Krystina, you that!”

“Oh, that’s a lie!; you don’t love her, you only wants her money. From day one you lied to her, and manipulated her, now she finally can see who you really are!” Krystle said.

“Krystina, you know it’s not true, I love you. I want to spend my whole life with you” Kyle tried.

“Krystina, you know I won’t lie to you about something like that. Jim told me all the truth. Kyle knew Lindsay Blaidsel. He knew exactly what she is up to” Sammy Jo again.

“Listen to us, Krys. We are your family. We love you; we want the best for you” Steven joined the others.

“You know how much we love you. And daddy loves you so much. He’ll give his life for you, you know that, honey. Please stay here with us. We need you. Your father needs you” Krystle had tears in her eyes. She looked at her daughter, hoping this time she will have her back. Krystina looked at her and at the others, and then at her husband.

“I love you Krystina, I made some horrible mistakes, its truth. But I never want your family to get hurt. You have to believe me”

“But you did go to my father. Why didn’t you tell me about that?” the girl asked him.

“I didn’t want to cause more problems between you too. Come on, honey. You know me, let’s go home, we’ll talk about that there” he asked and sends her his hand. Krystina looked at him, and then back on her mother, then turned back to him.

“Maybe it’s better for you to go now, Kyle” she said eventually and Krystle got relief.

“Krystina!” he didn’t believe she was saying this.

“Please, Kyle. I want to stay here for the night”

“Honey…” he tried one more time, but LB cut him off.

“You heard her. Good night, Kyle” he said and pointed to the exit. Kyle looked one more time at Krystina, hoping she will change her mind, but the girl didn’t look at him this time. Disappointed, he turned around and left the room.

“You did the right thing, Krystina. Your family is much important now” LB told her and was about to hug her, but the girl rejected him.

“Oh, and this coming from the master of relationship I guess, hmm?!” she attacked him.

“Krystina!” Fallon hurried to defend her son.

“Leave me alone Fallon!, You and your damn son!” the girl yelled and stormed out of the room.

“Why don't you leave LB alone, he didn't do anything wrong” Fallon yelled to no one in particular.

“So betraying his best friend and lying to his family is a good thing?” Steven stood up.

“He was acting on his feeling, that's all. Being impulsive, you should try it sometimes, Steven” Fallon was angry.

“And that justifies his selfish and careless behavior? Acting according to his feeling without realizing the consequences?!” Steven raised his voice.

“Steven, that's uncalled for” Jeff stood up.

Sammy Jo looked at Krystle who was worried. She didn't like what was happening.

“Really, and your son behavior is? Did it ever occur to you too that letting LB always have his way and spoiling him rotten, will cause him to be so selfish!?” Steven added.

“Hey…” LB yelled back.

“Stay out of this, LB.” Krystle looked at him sternly. “Come on, we need to talk” She grabbed his hand and walked out with him, giving Sammy Jo a look, telling her to stop it before it goes over board.

“You have no right to judge us as parent. LB is a good well-behaved kid. He at least never ran away or disobeyed us.” Jeff answered back.

“No, he just does what he wants without your knowledge, remind me again why he's in Denver and not away at college? Because he flunked out or just couldn't hack it? Or maybe he needs his parents at his side. Do you even know?” Steven asked.

“He's over eighteen; he doesn't…” Fallon began.

Jeff shook his head “Fallon, Don't…” But Fallon didn't give up.

“At least our son didn't runaway to the other side of the country because he couldn’t deal with who his father really is!”

“At least I know the reason. And speaking of runaways where is Lauren? Accepting her parents for what they are and not telling them where she is!” Steven screamed back.

“Would you all just stop it, what kind of example are you giving the children?” Sammy Jo has had it. This was getting out of hand.

“A lousy one as…” Steven began but Sammy Jo grabbed his hand.

“Let's go home. Now!” She pulled him.

“Leave me alone” Steven pushed her away. Sammy tripped and fell.

”Sammy Jo!” Fallon screamed looking angrily at Steven.

Steven turned around, “Oh, no. Are you all right? I’m so sorry” he said as he bent down to pick her up.

“I'm fine, let go of me. I'm pregnant, not an invalid” She was so sick of Steven over protectiveness. She got up and left, pushing Steven away. Steven followed quietly behind leaving Fallon and Jeff stunned.

ColbyCo, Alexis’s Office – The Next day

Alexis talked on the phone with the Billings Police Department that was in charge of Adam’s case, when Steven entered her office. “... Sgt. Cane, my son is already missing for five days and your investigation still hasn’t found any sign of him. That’s everything else than satisfactory and I can’t accept your continuous failure finding my son.” Alexis said, expressing her discontentment with the work of the police. Sgt. Cane explained to her that his department did everything it could to make progress in the case of her missing son. “I expect you to find him fast.” She demanded, before putting the phone down.

“No news about Adam?” Steven asked worried.

Alexis shook her head. “I’m afraid something terrible happened to him. I can’t lose him again ...” She stopped, terrified to finish her thought.

Steven approached her and put his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. “Mother, don’t even think something like that. Adam is fine and we’ll find him.” He assured her.

“You’re right, darling.” She replied, reaching for his hand.

“You wanted to see me. Is it because of Adam or is there something else?” Steven inquired.

“Caress’s lawyer sends me an invitation to the opening of her will.” She replied.

Steven was surprised. “What’s the meaning of this?”

“I’m completely clueless, darling.” Alexis said when the buzzing of the intercom interrupted their conservation. “Sgt. Lewis and Sgt. Harper are here, Mrs. Colby.” Her secretary announced.

“Send them in.” Alexis replied, wondering what else the police wanted from her. She had already answered their questions yesterday.

The two police detectives entered the office. “Good morning, Mrs. Colby, Mr. Carrington.” Sgt. Lewis greeted them.

“Sergeants, what can I do for you?” Alexis asked.

“We need to ask you a few more questions.” Lewis explained.

“More questions? I’ve told you already everything about my sister and Mr. Powers.” Alexis felt uncomfortable.

“It’s actually about you, Mrs. Colby.” Harper put their visit in concrete terms.

“Me?” Alexis lit a cigarette and tried to cover her nervousness.

“Why didn’t you tell us that you were at the building when your sister fell off her terrace, Mrs. Colby?” Lewis inquired, looking right at her.

Alexis was appalled. How did they know? She looked at Steven and could see the shock in his eyes. Alexis didn’t know what to say, so the police detective continued. “The security tapes show that you hastily left the garage of your sister’s apartment building at 9:48 pm, and eye-witnesses testified that your sister fell to her death around 9:45 pm.” Lewis stated. “Please answer my questions. Why didn’t you tell us?”

Alexis tried to maintain her composure. How could she forget that the garage was monitored?

“I just ... I panicked, after I witnessed how my sister shot Mr. Powers.” She said in her defense. “Yes, I was there that night.” Alexis admitted. “But my sister was alive when I left her apartment.” She insisted.

The detectives exchanged glances. “You said that you saw how your sister shot Mr. Power?” Lewis repeated what she had just said.

“Yes ..., but when I arrived to her apartment he was already lying unconscious on the floor. There was so much blood ...” She closed her eyes, recalling the picture. “I checked for a pulse and noticed that he was alive. And then my sister shot again ...”

“Why didn’t you call an ambulance?” Lewis interrupted her.

“Because I thought he was dead.” Alexis explained.

“I see, but what were you doing at Mrs. Morel’s apartment anyway?”

“She called and told me that she had gotten into a fight with Zach Powers and accidentally shot him. She was beside herself, almost hysterically. I was worried for her state and went immediately toward her. But when I realized that it wasn’t an accident, that she had shot him purposely, I lost my head and ran away.” She paused for a moment. “I can’t justify what I did; it was a mistake. But I was in a state of shock. She was my sister and Mr. Powers is a close friend. I refused to believe that she was able to do something like that.”

“Did Mrs. Morel tell you or do you know the reason why she tried to kill Mr. Powers?”

Of course Alexis knew Caress’s motive to kill Zach – revenge and hatred, but she couldn’t tell anybody the truth without incriminating herself. “I don’t know the immediate reason why things between Mr. Powers and my sister escalated, but I do know that there were feelings of despise and hatred, because my sister never forgave him, that he left her.”

Lewis believed her, while his partner was still unconvinced. “You say that your sister shot Mr. Powers, but how do you explain that we couldn’t find the gun at Mrs. Morel’s apartment?” Harper inquired.

Alexis was confused. “I have no explanation for it.”

“If she really committed suicide she had no time and possibility to get rid of the gun, but you did.” Harper observed, increasing the pressure.

Alexis stood up. “Just what are you implying? That I tried to kill Mr. Powers and pushed my sister from the terrace? I didn’t do it.” She angrily returned.

“We’re not accusing you of anything, Mrs. Colby.” Lewis interjected calmly.

“What reason could I have to kill Mr. Powers and my own sister?”

“Did you know that you’ll inherit your sister’s 51 % stock in ColbyCo?” Harper asked, wanting to see her reaction.

Alexis gave him a look of surprise. “No, I didn’t.” She replied, looking over at Steven who seemed surprised as well.

“Alright, Mrs. Colby.” Lewis said, finally ending the questioning. “We keep in touch.” He said, before both police detective left the office.

Steven stood silently, staring at his mother. He knew she was hiding something. “Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked, trying to get her to look at him, but she didn’t. “Mother!” He said, growing impatiently with her silence.

“I didn’t know how.” She replied. “Things between Zach, Caress, and me are difficult. It’s a story I’m not anxious to tell you, because you wouldn’t understand it.”

“Why don’t you try me?” He offered. Alexis shook her head.

“I didn’t shoot Zach and I didn’t kill Caress. Say that you believe me, Steven.” She said with a pleading look.

His eyes studying hers. “I believe you.”

Alexis felt relived. “Thank you, darling.”

La Mirage - Fallon's office

“Oh great, just great” Fallon knocked nervously on her table.

“I’m sorry Fallon, I’ve tried, but with Denver Carrington’s finances, no bank is willing to work with us. I think that maybe you should take Mr. Rameries up on his offer.” Jeff explained.

“What about Colby co?” she never wanted to ask her mother for help, but she was so desperate.

“I’m not sure. Now that Caress is dead, who knows who will inherit her stocks? You can’t rely on that”

Fallon looked at the proposal Roman gave her. “Our attorneys say it’s a sound investment, but I don’t like giving 39% of this hotel to a total stranger.”

“A stranger with forty million dollars to invest” Jeff stated.

“I know you are right, but there is something about him, the way he talked, the way he moved. It all just sounds too good to be true.”

Jeff sighed. “Well he’s the only deal I think you will be able to make, If you don’t take his money, I’m afraid you will have to shut La Mirages doors for good.”

“I know you are right, but” She sighed as she walked over to the phone, and dialed a number. “Mrs. Fallon Colby, for Mr. Rameries please.”

On the other end of the line a man picked up. “Fallon, so good to hear form you so fast”

“Well, Mr. Rameries, my attorneys have looked over your contract, and I ‘m ready to sign, could we arrange something for next week?”

“Next Tuesday would be fine, and please call me Roman.”

“All right Roman, I’ll see you then.”

Roman Rameries smiled, as he hung up the phone. “Very good, Harold couldn’t get me in though the back door, but I’ve managed to walk right in the front.”

Paris, France- Monica Colby’s suite

Dex sat next to Cameron, the two were having another heated discussion.

“I know it will take some time, but you must understand I only want what’s best for your mother”

“What is best for my mother is not having a lying cheat for a husband.”

“I tried to explain to you what happened, but you won’t listen.”

“I don’t need an explanation; your actions are enough, now get out of my room.” Cameron yelled.

“Now listen hear you little punk. I may have been gone in the past, and I may have made a few mistakes, but I’m your father, and if you think I won’t turn you over my knee and spank your hide you’ve got another thing coming.”

Cameron was floored by what his father just said, but the look on Dex’s face was all the conformation he needed. “Sorry, okay, now please leave me alone”

“Cameron, I understand that you angry, but you and I need to work something out for your Mothers sake.”

Cameron nodded. “I may not like it, but you are my father.” He took a deep breath. I will never forgive you for what you did, but I will try to be pleasant for mother’s sake”

“That’s all I ask.” Dex said and walked into the parlor room. He joined Monica and Sable, “Ah Dex, I was just about to call you, Monica thinks we should wait until June for the wedding, but I don’t think we should wait that long.”

Dex smiled as he kissed her cheek. “Why wait until June, How about next month?”

“Oh darling, do you mean it?”

“With all my heart” Dex kissed her on the lips this time.

“Oh I must go and call Bliss.” Sable left the room. Leaving an overjoyed Dex,

“You won’t be smiling for long Dex” Monica interrupted.

“And why is that Monica?”

“Because there isn’t going to be any wedding” Monica stood up. “I’ll put a stop to it.”

“You will do nothing of the sort. I intend to marry your mother, and start a new life with her and Cameron and there is nothing you can do to stop me.”

Monica walked to the door. “Just wait and see Dex, just wait and see.”

“You won’t dare telling her the truth!” Dex called after her. Monica stopped at the doorway and turned around him.

“Like I said Dex, wait and see” she then walked out, leaving him speechless.

Back at Denver, the Carrington Mansion

“Yes? Come in!” Blake called. Krystina opened slowly the door room and walked in. a big smile spread on Blake’s face when he saw his young daughter. She already visit him in the hospital two days before, but it was the first time she came to see him in the mansion. Krystle had told him Krystina spent the last night in the mansion and Blake assumed that she broke up with Kyle.

“Hi, daddy. How do you feel?” Krytstina closed the door behind her and came close to him.

“Much better, now that you back here” he answered quietly. “Your mother told me you came back home. You couldn’t make me happier” he reached his hand to her. “Come on, sit” he pointed on the bad. Krystina smiled and sat on the bad, next to him.

“So you feel better now?” she wanted to be sure he is fine. It’s not that she planned to tell him about her marriage to Kyle. It wasn’t the right time, but she needed to hear from him the truth.

“Much better honey, yes” the old man replied.

“Good. I’m glad. I wanted to talk with you about something” she hesitated. He looked at her, wondering what is about. “It’s about Kyle” she said finally.

“Kyle”

“Yes”

“Well I heard what happened last night. I know it wasn’t easy for you. But you made the right choice, honey” he tried to cheer her up. Krystina stood up. He felt that something is wrong. “Krystina? I hope you are not mad at me. I just wanted what is best for you. You know that, don’t you?”
“Is it true that he came to your office the other day and you sent him away?” she heard Kyle’s version. She wanted to hear he father’s version too.

“Yes I did. He tried to tell me something but I was in the middle of very important meeting. Why? Do you have any idea what he wanted to say?”

“No… No” Krystina turned her back to him. So Kyle didn’t lie. Dad did kick him out. She thought to herself.

“Krystina? Are you all right?” Blake felt something is wrong. “Honey? Talk to me” he tried.

“I have to go, dad. Bye” she shortly said and walked out toward her room.

LB and Ashley were at the time stepping upstairs to LB’s bedroom, amusing. They stopped at once when they bumped with the angry Krystina. Their smiling faces changed in once.

“Well, well, how cozy. I’m sure you very happy now that you don’t need to hide anymore. Hmm?”

“Krystina, we already had been there. Please don’t start again, okay?”

“It’s make me sick to see you this way, gigging and laughing while Danny is still suffering and hurt, thinking only for yourself” she sharked.

“And I’m sick and tired from you attacking LB and me all the time, okay? We love each other. We are very sorry for what happened, but we didn’t plan this. It just happened and we can’t change it” Ashley raised her voice.

“Let’s go Ashley, come on” LB asked her and grabbed her after him, but Krystina stopped their way.

“You know something? I hope you both will suffer the way Danny is suffering right now, and even more” she said and they turned to Ashley. “You maybe happy now and think your are in the top of the world, but your time will come, Ashley. And you’ll pay for everything you did, you bitch!”

“Krystina!” LB yelled. “That’s enough!”

“No, its okay, LB. let her; she’s just depressed right now for being alone” Ashley told him and gave Krystina a hard sharp look. “Come on, ignore her” she then added, took her boyfriend by his arm and walked to his room.

“She will dump you, LB. exactly like she dumped Danny, you’ll see!” she called after them and when they both vanished from her sight she turned around and went downstairs, in her way out from the mansion.

Denver Memorial Hospital- Miles's room

“I can’t wait until Miles is better. He will be such an asset with the refit.” Fallon said excitedly when she and Jeff walked to Miles’ room.

“Well Amanda said he just regained consciousness, I don’t think he’s ready to leap into work so soon.”

“Oh Jeff, you are such a pessimist sometimes” Fallon smiled, she had felt bad for attacking Amanda earlier, and was going to apologize as soon as possible.

They opened the door to Miles’ room only to find Amanda there alone.

“Amanda? Where is Miles?” Jeff asked, looking around him expecting to see Miles. But nobody else was there.

“We were talking and laughing.” She started to cry.

“What happened?” Fallon spoke.

“I thought he recovering, he seemed okay, and then -”

Fallon walked over and shook her. “And then what? what did you do to him!?”

“Fallon stop it” Jeff pulled her away, and then got on his knees and pulled Amanda’s hands away form her face, “Amanda what happened?”

“We were kissing, I said yes, and then he started shaking and the doctors came in.” She paused. “It happened so fast, they said his heart stopped, that toxins were flowing in his blood, and then they took him away.” She began to cry even harder. “Jeff, I think he’s going to die.”

Kyle's Apartment

After they questioned Alexis again, Sgt. Lewis and Sgt. Harper went to Kyle’s apartment. At this point of the investigation they still didn’t have a prime suspect and they looked for more evidence that could lead them to the truth. Kyle Roberts was one of the people Caress was in touch with and his involving with the consortium made him a suspect too. Though the police found it unlikely, they had to check where Kyle was at the night Caress was pushed to her death. Even they didn’t think Kyle was behind that, they knew he could add new information to their investigation.

“I told you already, I’ve been in Las Vegas at that night. I got married.” Kyle repeated. He didn’t have the marriage certificate with him. Krystina asked him to save it in case she’d need to proof to her family that she got married.

“When did you leave Denver at that day, which hour?” Sgt. Lewis asked.

“I don’t remember exactly, it was afternoon. We took the first flight there. You are the police, I’m sure you’ll find a way to check it” he said.

“Believe me, we will” Sgt. Harper answered with a suspicions look in his eyes. “When was the last time you saw Caress Morel?” he asked him.

“A long time ago. She came here to check on me after I got bitted” he lied. He couldn’t take the risk and tell them the truth. He already had been there and he didn’t want to see the police station again.

“I understand you never served complain against the people who bitted you up. Why? Did Mrs. Morel or Mrs. Woo thread you in some way?” they difficult him.

“I was afraid those people would try to kill me if I’d go to the police. I wanted to forget this part of my life and start a new one. What is so difficult for you to understand?” he wanted to get rid of them. The more questions they would ask him the more problems he could get into, again.

“We find this very interested, Mr. Roberts. Mrs. Woo was the consortium head. She and Mrs. Morel were afraid you’d turn them in, but you were afraid too. You worked for the consortium for a few years. I guess they both had lots of information that could send you to prison for a long time. Plus, you wanted Blake Carrington to accept you to his family and his daughter to marry you. If Caress Morel would tell them more things about you, it could show your real face to Carringtons’s daughter.”

“No. Krystina already knows all the truth about me. I have nothing to hide. You are wasting your time here. I don’t have anything to do with Caress’s death and I don’t know anything about Mrs. Woo.”

“I’m confused” Sgt. Harper said. “You just told us you were afraid that Mrs. Woo will send her people to kill you because you knew too much about her. Now you says you didn’t know anything?” the Sergeant tried to confuse Kyle.

“I didn’t say anything like that. You assumed all that by yourself, sergeant. Now if you don’t mind, I’m very busy. Would you mind?” He opened the door, asking them to go. Krystina was about to ring the bell when the door opened.

“Krystina!” he was happy to see her. She showed up there just in time. Kyle walked toward her and gave her a kiss. She didn’t kiss him back, just looked at the detective who looked at her back. “I’m so glad you are here. Can you tell them we flew together to get married in Las Vegas?” he asked her. She looked surprised.

“Well, yes. We got married there. But, why?” she didn’t understand. Instead of answering her, Kyle took her hand and showed the detective the marriage ring on Krystina’s finger.

“Are you happy now?” he asked, satisfied.

“We will check this” Sgt Lewis said.

“Good. I’m glad” Kyle smiled.

“Don’t be so smug, Roberts. We might come back.” Sgt. Harper said. “Miss Carrington,” he nodded and they both left the apartment. Kyle closed the door after them and turned to Krystina. She still had a surprised look on her face.

“What was that all about?”

“They are still hunting me. Thinking I have something to do with the consortium or with Caress’s death” he explained.

“Do you?” she asked.

“Honey. You know how much I love you. I’d never lie to you about something like that. I really went to your father office the other day. I wanted to tell him to be careful because I had a reason to believe this Georgia Parker woman is a pretender. But he just kicked me out and wouldn’t listen to me. You know how much he hates me. What could I do?”

“So why didn’t you tell me about that? I could have talked to him. Who knows, maybe the whole disaster at the La Mirage could be spared from us.”

“I know, you right and I’m sorry, okay? I should have told you that. And I planned to tell you once we’d come back to Denver. I just didn’t want to spoil our honeymoon. The flight, the hotel, everything was ready. If I knew what Lindsay was planning I would have told you about that and I would have went straight to the police. But I didn’t know anything. You have to believe me.” He begged.

“I don’t know, Kyle” she hesitated.

“I love you, Krystina. You are the love of my life. I will never do anything that can jeopardize that” Krystina looked at him. He seemed sincere and she did love him. She couldn’t imagine her life without him. And he did go to Blake’s office the other day to tell him about his suspicions. It was her father that refused to talk with him and listen what he had to say. “Please, Krystina. I know you love me as much as I love you. You should know I’d never hurt you or your family.” He hoped she’d believe him.

“I know, Kyle. And I love you too, I really do” Krystina became softer.

“So you believe me?” he asked. Krystina looked at him, hesitating for few minutes.

“Yes, I believe you” she said eventually.

“Thank you honey, I love you so much. I really do” he reached his hand to her. Krystina took his hand and let him kiss her.

“I love you too, baby. I love you too” he said happy and they kissed passionately.

New Zeeland air territory – Qantas airline’s Boeing

She brushed her hair back and put back on her sunglasses after the plane had left the ground and was now up in the sky. She looked outside the window and could see the sun arise. She took it as good omen, although she was very nervous. Would Blake recognize her? Would he even remember what he once told her over and over again?

„Would you like something to drink, Miss?“ A stewardess woke her from daydreaming. She turned and tried to smile. „Orange juice, please“ she said. A refreshment would do her good. After she had taken a few sips she already felt less nervous and was a bit more confidant.

„Ladies and Gentlemen,“ came from the loudspeakers, „we are now leaving New Zeelandian territory. Our flight to Denver, Colorado will take us about 10 hours....“

She went back to her thoughts. If everything turned out ok for her, she would see Blake Carrington very soon again. They hadn’t seen each or heard from each other in over 24 years and now it would be less than a few hours. That was if nothing went wrong. But she was a strong woman and besides the trouble she was in now, she always got what she wanted. She always knew which ways to go and how to treat people to make them support her in her plans. Suddenly a smile appeared on her full lips and she comfortably leant back. She looked very relaxed now. And she was.

Billings, Montana- Hillcrest lodge- Mrs. Litton’s suite

Mrs. Litton gently put down the phone, after being informed by one of the few remaining members of the consortium, that Lindsay and Caress is dead. It all was a ruin now.

“Well, isn’t this a strange turn of events.”

“What?” Dana asked.

“It’s nothing for you to worry about.” Mrs. Litton stated, as she looked towards the machine set to deprogram Dana. “Well I guess this won’t be necessary.”

“I still don’t understand who that was on the phone, and what is that machine?”

“That my dear” She pointed to the computer, light, and helmet. “Was to erase the memory of killing Adam, but since my boss is now deceased deprogramming, it’s no longer an option.”

“You can’t leave me like this. I don’t want the memory of Adam’s death on my hands any longer.”

“You won’t have to worry about your conscious, my dear. You’ll be dead.” She picked up the gun aiming for Dana.

Dana jumped up holding her hands in front of her. “Wait, Wait.”

“What is it? A last request”

“Why are you bent on destroying the Carrington’s and why did you want Adam dead?”

“I already told you. I wanted Adam dead to avenge Jeremy’s death. Now that Adam is worm food, maybe Jeremy’s sprit can finally be at rest, together with Mrs. Woo“ Mrs. Litton paused long enough to sit.

„Mrs. Woo?“ Dana asked.

“Didn’t you hear? She blamed Adam for her mother’s death, she blamed all the Carrington’s for both her parents’ deaths, that is why she married Woo, why she blackmailed Jeremy into helping her. She wanted to ruin Blake Carrington financially, before she killed him and all of his family.”

“And you were in on the whole thing.”

“Yes, Jeremy and I bought up stock, participated in insider trading, as well as other dirty tasks of disposal, such as Adam’s life.” She explained. „So. Now that you know everything, it’s all set, darling. I’m sorry it came to that. But i don’t have any choice. Bye bye!“ she laughed, and before Dana could reply the police busted down the front door, three police officers with combat gear, and bullet proof vests entered the room. But Mrs. Litton was faster then them. She puled Dana towards her, aiming the gun at her temple.

“Drop the weapon lady.” An officer yelled. “You’re surrounded; you’ve got no place to escape.”

“Oh I think I have a little bargaining chip.” She screamed pushing the gun further into the side of Dana’s head. “All of you stand back, or else Mrs. Warring dies“ she yelled at them as we FADE OUT....
