Denver Memorial Hospital- ICU
Krystle had just covered Blake with the blanket, when the doctor and Fallon came in. She stood up and walked over to them. “Will he make it, Doctor?” Krystle asked, looking desperate.
“His condition is very critical Mrs. Carrington. Right now I cannot tell you anything. We will have to wait the next 24 hours out.” They had given Blake some sedatives to put him too sleep. When he’d arrived at the hospital he was only partly conscious. He needed to rest otherwise he might not survive the night. The stress could cause him a heart attack, especially since the smoke Blake had inhaled already weakened him. “Was he badly injured?” Fallon wanted to know. “Well, he inhaled too much of the smoke and also suffered burns. It weakened his whole system. And it might have some affection on his brain. But I really can’t tell you more, I’m sorry. I would suggest to you both, that you also get some rest. There are some rooms down the floor, where you can sleep a little and take a shower if you want. “ “I’m staying here.” Krystle said. The doctor looked at her, then nodded and left the room. “I’m gonna get some coffee. Would you like some too?” Fallon asked. Krystle sighed. “I guess I could need one now.” Just when Fallon wanted to leave the room, Jeff entered. “How is he?” He asked, glancing at Blake. “Not that good,” Fallon replied. “The doctor said his condition is still critical...oh Jeff, I’m so afraid!” Jeff took his wife into his arms. “How is Lindsay?” Krystle suddenly asked. Although she knew that Lindsay was responsible for all the horrible things that happened to the family in the last few months, Krystle still cared. She understood that Lindsay must have been a broken woman, after all the loss and pain she had gone through. It had driven her crazy. Just like her mother, Claudia. Jeff bowed his head and sighed. “She’s dead.” He finally said. “She died in the fire.” Krystle didn’t reply. May the Blaisdel’s finally rest in peace, she thought. Billing, Montana Mrs. Litton paced back and fourth waiting for her visitor to arrive. It had been almost three days since her programming of Dana Warring. “She should have disposed of Adam Carrington by now.” She said to herself as a soft knock rapped at her door. She opened the door, and a very distraught Dana entered the room. “Well did you accomplish your task?” Mrs. Litton almost screamed. Dana began to shake, as she sat on the bed. “It was hard, Adam said-“ “I don’t give a damn what Adam Carrington said. I want to know if you completed your task.” She screamed as her hand instinctively fell towards the holster she always wore. Dana burst into tears. “Yes, Yes. I did everything I was told.” Mrs. Litton demeanor turned instantly, she put her hand on Dana’s shoulder. “Good girl.” She said in her soft Jamaican accent. “Everything will be all right now.” “I’ve done everything I was told; now all I want to do is leave.” Dana asserted. Mrs. Litton eyes narrowed. “Are you sure you completed your entire task?” Dana began to get nervous. “Yes.” Mrs. Litton pulled out her gun as Dana gasped. “Very good my child, then you won’t mind showing me some sort of proof.” “Proof, what kind of proof?” Dana began to tremble again. “I think you know what I mean.” Mrs. Litton interjected; maybe this Mrs. Warring thought she could pull a fast one on her. “I can show you all the proof you need.” Dana said as she stood up. Paris, France- Monica’s apartment Dex sat in Monica’s kitchen. He had just come form his own suite in the hotel; he was still reeling from the revelation of Sable’s condition. He had spent the night wondering what to do, and he had decided that god had given him another chance, a chance to make things right, and he was going to marry Sable, and be a good husband to her, and a good father to his son. “Dex, before mother wakes up, you and I need to talk once and for all” Monica interjected as she passed him a cup of coffee. “Monica, my only concern right now is Sable’s well fare.” “Will you just shut up and listen to me?” She said, and as he began to protest, she held up a hand. “I may not like it, but you are here now, and mother has seen you. She thinks that you sent her here to recover form her injuries, and she still thinks that you two are getting married.” She paused to take a sip of coffee. “I may hate you Dex, but the two of us have to work together until mother gets well enough for us to tell her the truth.”
“I have every intention of doing what is right for Sable.” Monica smiled. “Good.” “You didn’t let me finish. I’m going to do what’s right for Sable, and that is to never tell her what happened with Alexis, I’m going to marry Sable, and that is final.” Dex looked down, and grabbed his coffee. “You will never marry my mother” Dex looked up, but the words didn’t come form Monica, but form the doorway where Cameron was standing. “Cameron!” Dex called getting up and running to hug his son. “I’ve missed you so much.” Cameron wasn’t hugging his father back. “Son? What’s wrong?” “Didn’t you hear me? I said you will never marry my mother.” Cameron said coldly. “Honey… I love your mother. I maybe did lots of mistakes in the past but I am going to make you up for that. Don’t you want us to be a family?” “A family? I have a family right here with Monica and my mother, and you are not a part of it” He said coldly. “What have you done?” he turned to Monica. “Have you turned him against me?”
“She didn’t do anything. You did.” “Cameron, listen to me” Dex was confused, it hurt him so much for what his son was saying. “No, no! You slept with Alexis Colby, and because of that Mother were hurt. I don’t need you and neither does she.” He yelled and Monica rushed toward him. Dex stood up tears rolling down his face. “Son, you don’t know what you are saying.” “Yes I do.” He said starting to push Dex away. They all stopped when Sable came out of her room. “What is going on out here?” She said as she came into the room noticing the scene. Monica, Cameron and Dex looked at her all in once, saying nothing. Delta Rho
Sammy Jo walked into the living room, picking up her car keys and driver license. She headed out only to find Steven standing with a package in his hand staring at her. Steven had been staring at her since she walked in. She was beautiful, being pregnant definitely agreed with her. “Steven? What are you doing out of bed?” Sammy Jo asked. “I…” Steven avoided her gaze. He looked like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar. “What’s this?” Sammy Jo grabbed the package form his hand, went to her desk and opened it. It was full of files and documents from ColbyCo. “You know, you look beautiful, despite what we’ve be through.” Steven smiled hoping it would do the trick. “Flattery will get you anywhere, Steven. You’re supposes to be resting. That’s why I agreed that you'd stay here, so Danny and I can pamper you and make sure you rest. This is work, you should know better” Sammy Jo felt like she was scolding a child. “Sammy Jo, I can explain. I was resting, but it’s boring. Anyway where are you off? You should be resting also.” Steven finally looked up. “I'm supposed to take it easy, which I am.” She grabbed a book from her desk and headed towards Steven. “Here read this. I’m off for my check up” “Great, a pregnancy book, just what I need.” He said sarcastically.
“Why, you've been pregnant before?” Sammy Jo retorted. “You’re right, I’m sorry!” He pulled her into a hug. “I know!” Sammy Jo hugged him back. “Speaking of being right, where is our son?” Steven asked not letting Sammy Jo go. “Working out his anger I've asked Tony to keep him busy.” Sammy Jo explained. “He needs time to get away from here. I’ll try to convince him to return to Princeton.” Steven stated. “Agreed, but be careful with him. You and I both know the stupid things anger, betrayal and jealousy could lead to.” Sammy Jo pulled back a little. “Too well what we went through last night was the consequences to those things. Not to mention my stupidity and betrayal.” Steven began. “Oh, Steven, last night was not your fault. Lindsay was insane; I can say the same about Matthew and Claudia. After all we’re only human. It's not your fault; you never meant to hurt them.” Sammy Jo brushed his cheek. “Yeah, I’m good at hurting people I love without meaning too” Steven added. “Oh Steven…” Sammy Jo began but Steven kissed her softly, stopping her. “Steven I have to go. Get some rest.” Sammy Jo pulled away. “I’ll see you later.” Steven watched her walk away. Sammy Jo headed out; she noticed the front door close. Puzzled she opened the door and looked out. Ashley stood there debating where to go. “Ashley, what are you doing here?” Sammy Jo asked stunned.
“I came to see you, but now I regret it. Jim has been asking for you since he came out of surgery. He needs you. Instead I find you all over Steven, I guess he moved on.” Ashley stated angrily. It was bad enough she hadn’t come to check on him, but letting Steven come back, was too much, knowing how much it would hurt Jim. “How is he?” Sammy Jo asked slowly heading for her car. Ashley joined her. “The doctor said he’ll be fine, but the recovery will be long and difficult. He needs you. He loves you.” “Ashley, don’t even try. Your darling stepfather helped a woman destroy my family, not to mention, kill us. He plotted against Steven and I.” she paused “I bet he knew about you and LB, didn’t he?” Sammy Jo attacked her. “Yes, and he advised me to choose and be honest.” Ashley explained. “Too bad you did the wrong choice. Danny loved you very much. We all loved you. But you betrayed that love and trust” she said, approaching her car. “And about Jim, he didn’t take his own advice. Like you, he made the wrong choices” she said and was about to enter the car but Ashley stopped in front of her not letting her open her car door. “Like I said he’s a wonderful father, imagine what a wonderful man he could be if you forgive him and be with him. Lindsay could have destroyed his career and life. Let me remind you he saved you and you’re family from the fire.” “You’re good, Ashley. You are very good. Keep Jim at your side, you’re going to need him. Let me remind you you’re an outsider. You’ll never fit into LB’s world or life. That’s the advantage of a secret affair. You can hide from the real world. It will never work out between you and LB.” Sammy Jo stated. “No, you wrong. LB loves me. After all I was good enough for Danny I’ll be perfect for LB.” Ashley answered. “Danny isn’t LB. They are different as night and day and so is the family’s expectation from them. Danny can be anything he wants. LB doesn’t have that luxury, Ashley. And love sometimes isn’t enough,” Sammy Jo said. Ashley was stunned. She remembered Fallon’s chilly attitude towards her at the hospital. Could Sammy Jo be right? “Mom, where are you off to?” Danny walked up to the house. He was sweating, wearing nothing but a pair of jeans and work gloves. “I have a checkup. I’ll be back soon. Make sure your father rests.” Sammy Jo moved Ashley aside. Danny noticed Ashley. They exchanged looks. Ashley wanted to say something and hope he’ll talk to her, but Danny chose to ignore her. He walked on to the main house. “Sure, bye, mom.” “Bye, sweetheart” Sammy Jo called him and turned back to Ashley. “Good bye, Ashley” she opened the door and sat down. “Danny wait up, we need to talk.” Ashley shouted after him while Sammy Jo started the engine and drove away. Danny kept walking. Ashley ran after him. “Danny please, listens to me. Not telling you about LB and me was my idea. LB wanted to tell you from the start but I stopped him. I so sorry, and so is LB. Please talk to me.” Ashley pleaded almost out of breath.
Danny opened the front door. “I hope you and LB are happy together. Now why don’t you two stay the hell out of my life! I don’t want to see either of you ever again!” Danny slammed the door in her face. Memorial Hospital Alexis arrived at the emergency admission and went straight to the reception desk. “I was told Mr. Zachary Powers had been brought here a while ago. Can you tell me where he is?” “Are you immediate family?” The nurse behind the desk asked. Alexis was frustrated. “I’m his wife.” She lied, anxious to get information. Immediately the nurse checked her computer. “Your husband is still in surgery. Please have a seat at the waiting area; the doctor will talk to you as soon as it’s over.” Alexis slowly walked down the corridor toward the waiting room, when she heard somebody call her from behind. “Mrs. Colby ...” Alexis turned around, looking at another nurse, which obviously had recognized her. “Yes?” She asked, hoping for news on Zach. “I guess you’re looking for your family?” The nurse said politely. “They’re in ward four.” Alexis stared at her bewildered. “Excuse me, what are you talking about?” “Your children and ...” The nurse started to explain, but Alexis didn’t listen any further. The mentioning of her children was information enough to make her worried. She ran back to the elevator to get to ward four. Seconds later the elevator doors opened and Alexis stepped out, looking around. She spotted a nurse and rushed over to her. “I’m Alexis Colby. I’ve heard my children are here. Can I see them?” “Of course, Mrs. Colby. Straight down the hall, sixth door on the right" The woman replied, motioning in the direction. Amanda sat beside Miles’s bed, holding his hand, as Alexis entered the room. “Mother!” Amanda exclaimed, getting up from the chair. Alexis approached her and the two embraced. “Are you alright, darling?” Alexis asked, brushing Amanda’s hair out of her face and revealing the bruises on her forehead and her left cheek. “Don’t worry. I’m fine, mother.” Amanda assured her. “But Miles got seriously wounded.” She added with concern in her voice, looking over at him. “What happened?” Alexis inquired. “We had a car accident.” She paused for a moment, recalling what happened. “When?, How?” “Don’t ask. Long story” Amanda replied. “Have you heard any news of dad?” Amanda asked, hoping at least his state had improved. “Why? What’s the matter with your father?” Alexis asked without much interest. Amanda was surprised. “Didn’t you hear about the fire?” Alexis’s interest rose. “What fire?” “The fire at La Mirage” Amanda stated. “Lindsay Blaisdel tried to kill dad and Krystle, but Steven and the police managed to stop her.” “Claudia’s daughter” Alexis asked in disbelief. “I thought she died in an accident somewhere in South-America years ago.” “Well, that’s what everybody believed. But obviously she survived and came back to Denver to take revenge. She accused Steven, dad, and Krystle of being responsible for the death of her parents.” “I hope your father didn’t suffer any serious injuries, did he?” Alexis asked, trying not to show openly that she still cared for him. “I’m afraid it’s serious because of his already bad state of health. He suffered from smoke inhalation and got burned.” Amanda replied. “The doctors want to keep him under observation for the next 48 hours.” Alexis closed her eyes and put her hands to her temples. Adam was still missing, Zach was shot, Caress was dead, and now she learned about Amanda’s car accident and the fire at La Mirage - this couldn’t continue. Billings, Montana Dana and Mrs. Litton had been walking for almost an hour, going to the agreed upon spot where Dana was to finish her programming. “It’s over there.” Pointing to a rusted old trunk half burred by a cluster of trees. “Open it.” Mrs. Litton yelled, and when Dana hesitated. Mrs. Litton pointed the gun at her. “I promise you that once you have shown me what you’ve done. I will let you go, and the memory of your task will be wiped form your brain. Dana resultantly walked over to the old trunk, and pried the lid open, the smell of death wafted up to her nostrils. “There. Are you happy now? I did what I was told.” Mrs. Litton smiled as she looked down into the dead corpse that once was Adam Carrington. She began to laugh, and Dana fell to her knees crying. Denver Memorial Hospital "LB!” Ashley ran toward him in the hospital hall. “How is Jim?” He asked. “Not good. He suffers from badly burns, especially in the face. It’s so awful” “But he is in conscious?” He asked. “Partly. His all face covered with bandage, and he can barely speak.” “I’m sorry. I know that he tried to stop Lindsay from burn Krystle and my grandfather, and eventually he got burned himself.” “How is your grandpa?” “We are not sure yet, my parents are there right now with Krystle. The doctor tells them about his condition. I hope he’ll get over this too, but I know the chances are lowest. He suffered enough in the last year. And now this; it’s so unfair.” He sat down on the chair, frustrated. “I ran out with Danny earlier.” She said when she sat next to him. “You did?” He was surprised. “Yes. I went to talk with Sammy Jo” “He talked to you?” “No, nothing. He ignored me. Even Sammy Jo talked with me, though I was kind of angry with her. You should think she will be with Jim now, taking care of him instead rumbling around Steven.” “He is Danny’s father you know. And they became very close in the last few years. I can understand her worry for Steven.” LB said. “But she is with Jim now, she should worry about Jim!” Ashley was angry even more now. “Hey, it’s not Krystina over there?” LB said suddenly and stood up. “LB, you even didn’t listen to me.” Ashley complained when she notes LB going to Krystina. She wasn’t alone. Kyle was there with her. “Krys, over here” LB called to his young aunt. “Where is daddy?” She asked hysterical. “He is fine, right? Tell me he is fine!” “Calm down, Krys. The doctor is checking up on him right now with Krystle and my parents.” “Do you know what happened exactly?” Kyle asked. LB looked at him. He didn’t have anything against him. But he wasn’t sure if this is the right man to Krystina. “The police still investing, but from what we heard a woman called Georgia Parker invite Blake and Krystle to dinner and then tried to burned them” LB said. Kyle wasn’t surprised. At the minute he heard from Krystina what happened he guessed Georgia-Lindsay is involved. “But then Jim stormed in, together with Sammy Jo and Steven. He got hurt very badly when he tried to stopped her from burning the whole place” LB added when Ashley came closer to them. “Hello, Krystina, Kyle” she greeted them. Krystina looked at her and didn’t respond. She was still very much angry at her. “LB, I’m going to check on Jim again. You’ll be here?” she asked. “I’ll join you in a minute, go head” he said. Only when she walked away he turned to Krystina. “You could at least say hello to her” “Why should I? After what she did to Danny!” she was angry. “I guess he is still in Princeton, right?” she asked her cousin. “No, as a matter of fact He stayed in Denver” LB answered. “What? Why?” She asked. LB didn’t answer this time. His eyes said it all. “He knows about you two, isn’t it?” she was even angrier now. “Honey, maybe it’s not the time now” Kyle tried to clam her. “How?” she demanded to know. “What?” LB asked. “How did he find out? You told him?” “He saw us in bed together, at Jim’s.” LB said coldly. “Oh no… you idiot! How could you?! How?!” she attacked him.
“Krystina… honey, please” Kyle tried to clam her. “I could strangle you now, LB. You are lucky that all I want to do now is to see my parents. “Where is mother?” she asked, angry. Inside Blake’s hospital room “How is he?” Fallon whispered after she had sneaked into the room and over to her Dad’s bed. Krystle looked worried and tired. She hadn’t left Blake’s side since the horrible incident. She was close to tears. The doctors had not been able to tell her if Blake was going to make it or not. “Oh Fallon” She finally said and sank into Blake’s oldest daughter. “Shh shh shh...everything’s going to be alright Krystle. I promise” Fallon comforted Krystle although she was very scared too. Jeff felt the same way, but smiled back at his wife. He hoped it would make her feel better. Krystle cried now. “....No....Adam” Krystle, Fallon and Jeff turned around and looked. Blake was still asleep, having a nightmare. Krystle rushed over. “Blake” She said and softly touched his head. “Adam, and Steven.. Where are they?” Blake woke up looking puzzled. Then he looked around. For a moment he couldn’t figure out where he was and who were the people around him. “Where am I?” he asked and tried to sit up. “Blake please, you need to rest” Krystle said and tried to calm her husband down. But Blake was still confused by his nightmare. “Where is Adam? Where is he?” He replied and started to climb out the bed, although he was still too weak. Krystle pushed the button above Blake’s bed to ring for the doctor. “Daddy please, stay in bed,” Fallon pleaded. Then the door opened and the doctor accompanied by a nurse entered. The nurse immediately rushed over to the bed and injected Blake a sedative. Blake was already too exhausted from the stress to resist. “May I talk to you Mrs. Carrington for a moment?” the doctor asked in a serious tone. “What is it?” Krystle asked after the door closed behind them.
“Well...he is still in critical condition but we think he will make it. On one condition” “And that would be?” Jeff asked. “Mr. Carrington will have to rest for a long time in order to recover completely. He needs to stay at home, I’m afraid he will have to retire, for the family business. The best thing for him right now will to be to retire for good” Jeff, Krystle and Fallon looked at each other shocked. They were all convinced that Blake would never agree with that decision. Blake Carrington would never retire from the board of the company he built. New Zeeland The living room of the house was big bright. It ended on a huge balcony, with a view on the ocean. The furniture was very modern and stylish. All designed by a famous designer from London. Big doors made out of glass separated the room and the hall. Suddenly somebody unlocked the door from the outside. A woman in her mid-fifties entered the hall and stood there motionless for a moment. She still had her big black sunglasses on. She was very well dressed. A black and white suite and black high-heels, matching her purse, her auburn hair had soft locks and fell just to her shoulders. She suddenly turned and looked in the big mirror that hung on the left wall. She sighed energically and took her sunglasses off. The blue eyes wandered around. “Chris?” She called, but nobody answered. She walked into the living room, directly to the bar where she poured herself a drink. A martini with lots of ice her usually relaxed and beautiful face revealed that she was worried and mad. She walked over to the couch and collapsed on it. She lit a cigarette. She was exhausted and mad. Mad at that stupid little banker who wouldn’t give the credit she need so much. The heavy storms a month ago had destroyed almost all of her wine yards. And since the insurance hadn’t paid anything yet, she needs money to fix the whole place quickly, otherwise she could be ruined in a year. She hoped that her best friend and working partner would take good care of the whole mess while she was away. The phone rang. “Hello?” she answered in a rude tone. “....oh, yes...thank you very much!” She added in a more pleased way and hung up. Then she turned the TV on and zapped through the channels. She stopped at the news channel, stood up and walked over to the bar again. That had been a hard morning and she needed another drink. She put so much hope in that trip she was about to do. She hadn’t been in America for the last ten years. Her memory of the times in the States weren’t that good. She had traveled a lot and discovered the country’s beauty. But the people she had met still made her angry and sad sometimes. But she certainly couldn’t think of that right now. She took a deep breath and lifted the glass. Suddenly she froze and starred at the TV. She rushed over to turn up the volume. “...Blake Carrington, oil-tycoon and head of the famous Carrington oil-dynasty was rushed to the hospital yesterday. He suffered from heavy smoke inhalation and from burns. The doctors say he’s in critical condition. No member of the family would give us any further statements!” She couldn’t believe it! She stumbled back a little and her heart started bumping faster. She still stared at the picture of smiling Blake Carrington in the background of the news. Then she shook her head to come back to her senses.
“No, Blake...You can’t die now! Not now…” she said still looking at his picture as we FADE OUT…. END EPISODE 24And now, drop us aline at the Forum page |
