Most Wanted Ancestor
William PHILLIPS, b: 1806,NC,. William Phillips first shows up in the 1850 census of Tishomingo Co., MS. According to the birth dates of his children, he moved a few times between an unknown county in Alabama, Hardin Co., TN, and Tishomingo Co., MS. The exact sequency of these moves is in doubt. He then appears in the Ripley Co., MO census for 1860, and finally in the 1870 Randolph Co., AR census. He died there in aout 1875. His name is sometimes spelled Philips and on one occasion, his birthplace is listed as SC.
