Kurata Sana, by all means, is not like any 11 year old you can randomly pluck from the street. As the main character of Kodocha, Sana is dynamic, lively, carefree, strange, spastic... if you will - 'she's damn entertaining!'

A popular child actress from the show 'Zenjirou's Kodomo no Omocha'. Sana maintains an active acting career, while juggling a life of friendship, school, math, lone wolves, monkey bosses, triangles etc...
If anyone can do that and still have excessive energy left, it would be Sana-chan. Meet the girl who, 'we don't know what she's on, but we want it.' Hyper is an understatement for this child. She's more like a hip rhyming, head of nonsense, weightless brained, complete utterly clueless kid with too much energy and knows just what to them! Make a mess out of her life and the people around her!Thus this show has over 100 episodes! Thus the webmistress has only see 24!!! *sweatdrop*

My Opinion of Sana: While I've never been fond of (more like held extreme enmity toward) airheaded characters who lack in the brain department and have excessive storage in the heart department - namely, Usagi, Miaka, and Miki, Sana quickly became a favorite of mine. Why? Simple. It is impossible to not like her unless, you are my friend, Akuma, who has swore to hate all female lead anime characters. ^__^ Now, I'm going to say this once. Sana is VERY VERY different from ANY anime character you'll ever see/watch/meet EVER. You will meet no other hyperactive child who will bust out a rap just because the weather was fine fine fine. You will see no other 'missing a few screws' child who has a pimp. You will see no other kid who can tape 7 commercials in one day. The pure, blind, yet innocent optimism in Sana is purely entertaining. She is the enbodiment of all things odd and hyper, but somehow she's different from the cliched 'ditz'. Sana is a very independent, gutsy, and willing girl, not to mention sucessful in what she does. Her character development in Kodocha is very realistic. Sana is a smiling kid all through, in anime language, that may automatically mean she has a facade (ex: Duo Maxwell, Chichiri, Minako etc.) But when confronted with that question, Sana explained that most people have a part of melocholy inside them. She's surprisingly a pretty deep character if you look at her in a correct angle. All those and that, Sana is genky...and absolutely...
